I felt very3. I thought they didn't love me.4youbelieve or not, I thought no one liked to care me. I even imagined that theywouldn't miss me if I died one day. So I told my mom, Mary is more excellentthan me. You may want her to be your5instead of me.
My mom6that Mary was a really lovely girl. But7couldreplace me in our family. She said I was the only person who could play myrole. I was the special one in her mind. At that time, I began to find my mom8loveme so much. She made me realize that even though I made9 , she stillloved me and no one could replace me. From then on, I tried to10outwho I was and what made me special. I looked at11ina new way. Then I started to be positive(积极的) about mylife. And I was happy12who I really was. I came to feel much13becauseI knew no one could replace me.

To write a great news story, you have to make sure itis correct, relevant(相关的) and fresh.
For a start, all the information in a story must becorrect. Not only the spelling and grammar, but also the facts. Any mistakethat appears in a story can get a newspaper into big trouble. For example, if anewspaper said that Yang Liwei was the first man to go into space, it would be wrong. He wasn't the first. The newspaper would probably lose lots of readers becauseof that mistake.
A news story should not only be correct, but also berelevant to its readers. People are mostly interested in local news. That iswhy you care more about what happens at your school than at American schools. It is also why newspapers in Beijing don't talk about much news in Shanghai or HongKong.
Finally, news must always be fresh. When you pick upyour evening newspaper, you want to read about news that happens that day. Youdon't want to read about news from last week!
Now you know what makes a good news story. Have a goodlook at our newspaper and see if it is full of good news. You can try writing anews story for our newspaper like a real reporter.
It was the last day of the final examination in acollege. On the steps of buildings, a group of engineering students werewaiting for the last exam. On their faces was confidence.
They knew the exam would be easy. The professor hadsaid they could bring any books or notes during the test.
Right after they came into the classroom, theprofessor handed out papers. There were only five questions on it.
Three hours passed. Then the professor began tocollect the papers. The students no longer looked confident. On their faceswere nervous expression. The professor watched the worried faces before him,and then asked, "How many of you have completed all five questions?" Nohand was raised. "How many of you have answered four?" Still nohands." Three? Two?" the students moved restlessly in their seats. "One,then? Certainly somebody has finished one." But the class kept silent. Theprofessor said, "That is exactly what I expected. I just want to make youknow clearly that even though you have completed four years of engineering, there arestill many things about the subject you don't know. These questions you couldnot answer are common in everyday practice." Then, smiling, he added, "Youwill all pass this course. But remember your education had just began."
The yours hasobscured the name of thisprofessor, but not the lesson he taught. The students will remember it clearlyforever.
Students' Safety
The teacher gives young students some advice on how to deal with danger.
If you are in a traffic accident
If a car hits you, you should remember the car number. If it is a bike, try to call your parents before you let the rider go. This is because you don't know how seriously you are hurt.
If it is raining hard and there is a trees.
Don't stay at high places and stay away from trees.
When there is a fire
Get away as fast as you can. Put wet things on your body and try to find an exit(出口). Don't take the lift.
If someone is drowning(落水)
If you can't swim, don't get into water. Just cry for help.
Remember that danger is never as far away as you think. Take care of yourself all the time.

Have you (曾经) imagined how to live without money? As we all know, in the modern world, living without money sounds (不可能). However, an Australian couple have come up with new ways of making it through the years without spending any money. Let's have a look at how they make it.
After they decided to do that, they built (他们自己) a new house which was made of used wood. At first, (没有人) of their friends knew where they lived, so few guests visited them in daily life. They collected cold rainwater to take a shower and raised five ducks to (提供) them fresh eggs. They grew some fruits and vegetables as well, and sometimes even looked for food on the streets. Some people were afraid that the food on the streets would make them (生病的). In fact, they were in excellent condition. Although they had no jobs, they didn't have a lot of time to (浪费). They spent most of the day working for their neighbors so that they could get their next meal.
Not everyone is (勇敢) enough to do this, but they really made it work and they felt happy. One day, someone sent their story onto the Internet and then more and more people knew them. A lot of reporters have interviewed them since they became famous." Maybe some people think we are (疯狂), but free life without money really (满足) us," they said.
I then decided to start volunteering in a hospital. The volunteers were making a team and chatting, and I thought I'd like (help) patients in that way, too. In the chapel(小礼拜堂), I take it in turns to prayers(祷告) for patients, we each have a room where we go and talk to patients. In hospital, I usually make the tea and speak to patients, especially if I see patients who are sitting there on (they) own or don't have visitors. I go to the chapel every Wednesday afternoon and go to work in the hospital the second Monday in a month.
There are so many good things about volunteering, meeting a lot of new people, building a friendship with them, I get as much as patients do. I feel (use) now. And it's terrific to think I am making a (different) to somebody. Some people are looking forward to (see) you the next week. The volunteering is the (good) thing I have ever done. I hope everybody can join in.
