    My grandfather and I enjoy fishing.

    One Sunday morning we go fishing at a lake. We took ours fishing poles and headed for the lake.As soon as we arrived, so we dropped the lines into the water.Before waiting for about half an hour, I was beginning to get impatiently, I wanted to give up, and my grandfather told me to wait a little longer. Finally, there were a sudden pull at the pole and fish was caught. Within the next few minute, my grandfather also caught a fish.

Personally, I think we student should balance our physical exercise and studies. Without sound body, one can't achieve anything. However, too much attention has been paid only on studies. As a result, I suggest we are given less homework or more time for out-of-classroom activities. Only in this way can we live a happy and healthy life.

    Last week, I received one of the students from the US, which name was Mike. The first day, I went to pick him up at the Capital Airport and we chatted happy along the way. On the second day, we paid a visit to the famous Maoer Hutong, where we had an interesting rickshaw(黄包车)tour. Mike became very exciting about the driver's detailed introduce to the history of Hutong. The following day, I took him to Mei Lanfang Grand Theatre to watch Beijing Opera. Although he could understand few words, but he was still amazed to seeing the colorful costumes and the unique way of performing. When it was time of him to return to the US, I send him some gifts with Chinese elements, such as a Beijing Opera mask and a Chinese knot. He was very grateful for I had done and said him was really impressed by the rich Chinese culture.

    As the saying goes, "Chance favored the prepared mind." I learned this from one of my experience.

    I was not chosen as member of the volleyball team of our school. Because of this, I decided to give up play volleyball. Luckily, my best friend stopped me but pointed out that it was my laziness and poor preparation which led to my failure. After that, I practiced playing volleyball on every day. When another tryout arrived, I was full prepared and tried my best. As a result, I was selected and became an important player on our school team.

    From this, I am firmly convincing that we are able to seize a chance as long as I get well prepared.

    Thank you to your last letter, and I can't tell you how exciting I am now! I plan to fly to America on July 10 and stay there for about three week.
