Billy always loved blueberries. They were his favorite fruit. Today he was going to make juice with his uncle. His uncle liked to make juice out of everything. He made carrot juice, apple juice, vegetable juice, and more juices. He had never made blueberry juice before though!

  First, Billy and his uncle went to a blueberry farm. They were each given a basket. They picked for an hour and got several pounds. It was hard work picking the little berries from the trees. Now Billy understood why they were expensive in the store.　

  Next, they had to wash the fruit. Some of them still had leaves. Those had to be pulled off. Then the bad berries had to be thrown away. They washed the berries and made them air-dry.

 After that, they pushed the blueberries through a strainer(过滤网). The strainer caught most of the seeds and skins, and only left a small glass of dark purple juice to them.

 When they tasted the juice, it wasn't very sweet. Billy's uncle didn't want to add white sugar to the juice. It was better to use a naturally sweet juice, like apple juice, pear juice, or grape juice. They used grape juice as a sweetener (甜味剂), because grapes had a similar color to the blueberries.

  Finally, they could drink it. It was a lot of work to make juice, but it sure was refreshing!

    When Harley was born, he only had two healthy legs.

    However, he hearing aids were more than Just about hearing. They gave Sarah self-confidence（自信）,more chances to make new friends, the courage to take on new challenges. "Every day, they return to me a moment, a sound, a voice. They return to me the kaleidoscope（万花筒） of a life I'd once thought forever dark."

    Recently a young woman's post(博文) on Weibo caught many people's eye. In the post she said that she wanted books for her students in Xinjiang.

    After finishing her study in college，the young woman chose to become a teacher in Xinjiang. When people asked why she went to teach in the faraway area，she just said，"Because I love my country. "

    The young teacher found that some books in her school library were not good enough for the children. So she went to Weibo for help. Many Kind-hearted people saw her post and offered to send her books. Someone placed an order for 30 books on Taobao. When the seller 1earned about who the books were for.     He was 11 years old and went fishing every chance he got at his family's small house on an island in the middle of a New Hampshire lake.

    On the day before the bass(鲈鱼)season opened, he and his father were fishing early in the evening, catching sunfish and bass with worms. Before long, when his pole doubled over, he knew something huge was on the other end. His father watched with admiration as the boy skillfully worked the fish alongside the bank and he very successfully lifted the tired fish from the water. He slowly worked the hook out of the lip of the huge bass and lowered it into the black water.

    That was 34 years ago. And he has never again caught such a beautiful fish as the one he landed that night long ago. But he does see the fish again and again—every time he comes up against a question of ethics(伦理). For, as his father taught him, ethics are simple matters of right and wrong. It is only the practice of ethics that is difficult.

    We would if we were taught to put the fish back when we were young. For we would have learned the truth. The decision to do right lives fresh in our memory. It is a story we will proudly tell our friends and grandchildren.

    Some children are flying kites near the river. They are very high and Peter can see them in the classroom. His mother's friend Mrs White came to see his mother this morning and brought a kite to him. She gave it to him after lunch. It looks like a bird. He wanted to fly it but his mother didn't let him do so.

    "It's time to go to school," said his mother, "or you will be late. You can fly it after school."

    The boy was sad, but he said goodbye to Mrs White and went to school. Now he's in the classroom but he's looking out of the window. He doesn't listen to Miss Black. She writes something on the blackboard and then turns to the class and finds this.

    "Name nine things with milk in them, Peter," she says.

    The boy doesn't hear her and still sits there. A boy behind him taps his back and he knows it. He stands up and Miss Black asks him the question again. He thinks for a while and then says, \ madam. Tea, coffee, cake and... er.. six cows."
