One morning, I was waiting at the bus stop, worried about {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (be) late for school. There were many people waiting at the bus stop, {#blank#}2{#/blank#} some of them looked very anxious and {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (disappoint). When the bus finally came, we all hurried on board. I got a place next {#blank#}4{#/blank#} the window, so I had a good view of the sidewalk. A boy on a bike {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (catch) my attention. He was riding beside the bus and waving his arms. I heard a passenger behind me shouting to the driver, but he refused {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (stop) until we reached the next stop. Still, the boy kept {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (ride). He was carrying something over his shoulder and shouting. Finally, when we came to the next stop, the boy ran up the door of the bus. I heard an excited conversation. Then the driver stood up and asked, “{#blank#}8{#/blank#} anyone lose a suitcase at the last stop?” A woman on the bus shouted, “Oh, dear! It's {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (I)”. She pushed her way to the driver and took the suitcase thankfully, Five others on the bus began talking about what the boy had done and the crowd of strangers {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (sudden) became friendly to one another.

    The first person to arrive was Tony Garcia from Colombia, closely {#blank#}1{#/blank#} by Julia Smith from Britain. After I met them and then introduced them to each other, I was very surprised. Tony {#blank#}2{#/blank#} Julia, touched her shoulder and kissed her on {#blank#}3{#/blank#} cheek! She stepped back {#blank#}4{#/blank#}surprised and put up her hands, as if in 50．{#blank#}5{#/blank#}. I guessed that there was probably a {#blank#}6{#/blank#}misunderstanding. Then Akira Nagata from Japan came in smiling, together with George Cook from Canada. As they were introduced, George reached his hand out to the Japanese student. Just at that moment, however, Akira bowed {#blank#}7{#/blank#}his nose touched George's {#blank#}8{#/blank#} hand. They both apologized－ another  {#blank#}9{#/blank#} mistake!

    The theme park you are probably most familiar with is Disneyland. It can be found in several parts of the world. It will bring you into a {#blank#}10{#/blank#} world and make your dreams come true, {#blank#}11{#/blank#} you are travelling through space, visiting a pirate ship or meeting your favourite fairy tale or Disney cartoon character.     Some years ago,writing in my diary used to be{#blank#}1{#/blank#}usual activity. Art, music, poetry­these are inspired not by logic or reason, {#blank#}3{#/blank#} by emotion.

    In 2017, researchers in Switzerland created the "deep artificial composer (DAC)", {#blank#}4{#/blank#} can create original music all by {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (it). The scientists trained it to "listen" to over 2,000 different folk songs and {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (base) on this input, the AI taught itself how to get the pitch (音高) and timing and choose the right notes. Besides music, AI already {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (enter) the world of poetry as well. In 2018, Chinese and Japanese researchers wrote an AI program that uses images to write poems. Then the poems were sent to 500 human judges, who were asked to tell {#blank#}8{#/blank#} they were written by a human or a computer. The result showed that as {#blank#}9{#/blank#} as 200 judges mistakenly thought they were written by a human.

    So if you were {#blank#}10{#/blank#} artist or a musician, would you watch out?

    So why has English changed {#blank#}1{#/blank#} time? Actually all languages change and develop {#blank#}2{#/blank#} cultures meet and communicate with each other. At first the English spoken in England between about AD 450 and 1150 was very different from the English spoken today. It was based more on German {#blank#}3{#/blank#} the English we speak at present. Then gradually between about 800 and 1150, English became {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (little) like German because those {#blank#}5{#/blank#} ruled English spoke first Danish and later French. These new comers {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (rich) the English language and especially {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (it) vocabulary. So by the 1600s Shakespeare was able to make use of a wider vocabulary than ever before. In 1620 some British {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (settle) moved to America. Later in the 18^th century some British people {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (take) to Australia too. English began to be spoken in both countries. Today, {#blank#}10{#/blank#} number of people learning English in the world is increasing rapidly.
