Dear Mr Scott,

I expect you may be slightly surprised to receive a letter from your next-door neighbor, but I have to raise a theme that it will be easier for me to discuss in writing. You may have noticed that I have a line of apple trees running along the fence(栅栏)that separates our two gardens. You may also have felt happy when you see your two children sitting on your grass by the fence. And you may also have noticed that my apple trees bend over the fence and seem to look down at your children with interest. It is only natural that your children should sometimes seem to return that interest. And it is quite legal(合法的)for them to show that interest by picking all the apples that hang over on your side of the fence. But to tell you the truth, Mr Scott, I am tired of seeing your children, day after day, destroy the branches of every one of my apple trees. And it seems that a war has been fought on one side of my apple trees. Besides, I am more tired of waking up on these fine autumn mornings to find even the apples on MY side of the fence much less in number. I know this too is the work of your children, since last night I was woken at midnight by the noise they were making when climbing one of my trees, and (as they may have told you) I drove them away.

Yours sincerely,

Becky Aldrin

According to media reports on Wednesday, Zhang Zening, a woman from Nanjing City, East China's Jiangsu Province, has made more than 50 sets of Hanfu, or traditional Chinese costume (服装).

Zhang majored in materials science and engineering when she was in college, and she gave up her job after falling in love with Hanfu. It has been 10 years since Zhang made Hanfu by herself because those of her favorite styles were not for sale. She taught herself painting and costume design, and visited a dozen Chinese cities to explore museums, as well as to draw inspiration from murals (壁画) and literature, before making over 50 different Hanfu from past dynasties.

Zhang said the design of Hanfu was inspired by the murals of past dynasties. "What I did is not only to restore (使复原) a piece of clothing, but more to feel the culture Hanfu possesses, as well as the inspiration and significance (意义) of the mural, which made me very touched and glad," she said.

In July this year, a group of international students from Canada visited Zhang, hoping to work together to restore Hanfu based on murals that have been lost overseas. Zhang is excited about the project, saying, "Even if the national treasures cannot return to the country, restoring Hanfu based on them allows these lost treasures to be seen by more people. It's also a contribution from us young people."

Bryan ran home." Dad! Look!" he called excitedly."I found the cutest pet in the river! I named him Hoppy."

Dad had a closer look," Oh, a frog! How handsome!"

" Do you think Hoppy will like it here?"

" Why don't you keep him for a while, and then we' ll see how he's going."

Bryan found a shoebox. Using a pen, he poked(戳) air holes in the top of the box." Welcome to your new home. In you go, Hoppy."

" Are you hungry?" Bryan asked. He lifted his frog out of the box and put some sandwich pieces in front of him." Eat up, Hoppy." Bryan watched... But Hoppy didn't eat. Bryan waited... Hoppy just sat and stared (瞪眼看)." Don't you like sandwiches?"

Bryan put Hoppy back in the box."I think Hoppy's tired. I'm going to make him a comfortable bed." Bryan cut the old newspapers into pieces and put them into the box. He put Hoppy on his new bed." Are you cozy now? I' ll tell a story to help you sleep." When the story was over, Hoppy was still awake.

" Can't you sleep? Why?" Bryan asked. Hoppy just sat… and stared. Bryan didn't know what to do and sat thinking.

" How are you getting along?" Dad asked.

Bryan cried," Hoppy doesn't want to eat or sleep."

" Think about what he really needs."

A little later, Bry an ran into the house looking for his dad." Whoa!" said Dad." What's the hurry? And where's Hoppy?"

"I took him back to the river," Bryan said." He was sure glad to be home! When I put Hoppy down, he jumped into the river, caught a fly and ate it. Then, guess what!"

" What?"

Bryan laughed." Just before Hoppy jumped into the water, I think I saw him smile at me."

①The Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao is a modern art museum that is seen as one of the most famous art museums in the world. It was designed(设计) by Frank Gehry known for his special architectural designs.

②The government of Bilbao, a large Spanish city, paid for Gehry to design this museum. The government of Bilbao thought that Gehry's building would bring many visitors to Bilbao and can help the economy(经济) improve. It turns out that the government of Bilbao made a very good decision. When the Guggenheim Museum first opened, a celebration was held. Even Spain's Queen and King attended____this celebration. Right after Gehry's building was open to the public, the economy improved.

③Why has this museum been such a popular place for tourists? One reason is that Gehry's building design is different. Before Gehry had designed the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, most art museums looked same. For example, many of these art museums had columns(柱) and were built out of stone.

④The other reason is that Gehry's museum did not look like traditional art museums. Instead of building his museum with stone, he used titanium(钛). Inside of the museum, there are different art exhibitions. The main source(来源) of light for these exhibitions comes from a large window on the top of the museum. This window is called a skylight. It looks like a flower. Would you like to visit the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao?

The best part for me was the Mammals exhibition. There are many kinds of animals that you may never seen anywhere. Another favourite is the dinosaur exhibition. They looked so real that I could even imagine their daily lives.
