Zhou: How to work in a team?

Zhou: How to get an accurate story ?

Editor: You need to be curious and ask as many different questions {#blank#}2{#/blank#} you can. What's more, you must do research to keep yourself {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (inform)of the {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (miss) parts of the story. Don't miss your deadline ,don't be rude, don't talk {#blank#}5{#/blank#} much, but make sure you listen {#blank#}6{#/blank#} the interviewee carefully.

Zhou: How to protect a story from accusation?

Editor: {#blank#}7{#/blank#} the interviewee agrees, you can use a {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (record) to get the facts straight, {#blank#}9{#/blank#} can offer the evidence {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (support) your story.

    Long ago, there lived in Greece a learned man. He was so well-known{#blank#}1{#/blank#}his knowledge of almost everything that lots of people from all over the country came to learn from him. The great man{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(teach) his students whole-heartedly and answered their questions with great{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(patient).

    One day, a student asked him, “My dear teacher, didn't you say you yourself have many more questions about things than we do?{#blank#}4{#/blank#}I think we students have far more than you.”

    With a smile on his face, the teacher drew two circles, one as large as a big cake, the other smaller. Then he said, “Of course, I have learned much more. But it is wrong{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(think) a teacher has fewer questions than his students. Now, look at these two circles. The inside of the{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(big) one is my knowledge of things, and the inside of the smaller one is{#blank#}7{#/blank#}(your). Out of the circles is what is still unknown to us. Since mine is larger, I have to use the longer line to draw the bigger circle. That means I have more opportunities to face something{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(know). And that's{#blank#}9{#/blank#}I myself have more questions than you do. The{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(much) you learn, the more questions you have. You will never learn enough, you know.”

    Wang Peng felt very {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(frustrate) when he saw that there were few customers in his restaurant, because by then his restaurant {#blank#}2{#/blank#} to be full of people. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}his friend didn't come to eat in his restaurant. Wang Peng wanted to find out why, {#blank#}4{#/blank#} he followed Li Chang into a new restaurant. There he saw a sign.{#blank#}5{#/blank#} (curious) drove him to enter the restaurant, where the hostess gave him a menu, {#blank#}6{#/blank#} showed that the restaurant only served rice, raw vegetables, fruit, and water.     Last year the empty land across from my bus stop was a sad, empty, ugly space, with dead bushes and one short tree. Then some{#blank#}1{#/blank#} (gardener) changed that. They were tired of looking at the sad space while they were waiting {#blank#}2{#/blank#} the bus, so they made it into a beautiful garden. Now you can see colorful vegetable plants and sweet-smelling flowers. Yellow butterflies fly from plant to plant{#blank#}3{#/blank#} (happy), and tiny birds sing in the green trees. I love taking the bus now.

    I won't call myself the most accomplished person when it comes to {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (hold) chopsticks. In fact, I'm pretty sure that my technique looks clumsy at times. I tend to hold {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (I) in the middle, more like beginner than expert.

    Still, since I eat almost every meal with the eating utensil (器皿) of choice in China, it's not uncommon for a new friend or acquaintance to come to a simple {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (conclude) after observing me that my Chinese husband, Jun, must have shown me {#blank#}4{#/blank#} to use them before.

    They are wrong. I've used chopsticks ever since I was a teenager, a time when my sister and mother were both fond of Chinese cuisine and introduced me {#blank#}5{#/blank#} many new dishes, along with the {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (prefer) utensils in China. We always kept bamboo chopsticks along with our {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (knife), forks and spoons, ready for whenever we happened to have Chinese food for dinner. It was my closest family {#blank#}8{#/blank#} observed my first mistakes I made in using chopsticks.

    Plus, I lived over two years in China before Jun and I started dating and I {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (expect) to use chopsticks in almost every restaurant, stand and bar. Trust me, when you're hungry you figure out pretty fast what it takes to down (咽下) {#blank#}10{#/blank#} meal with these utensils.
