“Where is the university?” This is a question that many visitors to Cambridge(剑桥) ask. But no one can give {#blank#}1{#/blank#} a clear answer, for there is no wall to be found {#blank#}2{#/blank#}  the university. The university is the city. You can find classroom buildings, {#blank#}3{#/blank#} , museums and offices of the university all over the city. And most of its members are the students and{#blank#}4{#/blank#} of the thirty-one colleges.
    Cambridge was already a developing(发展中的) town long before the first students and teachers arrived 800 years ago. It grew up by the river Granta, and the river was once{#blank#}5{#/blank#} Cam. A {#blank#}6{#/blank#} was built over the river as early as 875. So the town got its name “Cambridge”.
In the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries(世纪) more and more land was used for college buildings. The town grew much {#blank#}7{#/blank#}  in the nineteenth century after the opening of the railway in 1845. Cambridge became a{#blank#}8{#/blank#}  in 1951 and now it has a population(人口) of over 100,000. Many young students in other countries {#blank#}9{#/blank#} to study at Cambridge. {#blank#}10{#/blank#}  of people from all over the world come to visit the university town. It has become a famous place all around the world.

    Life in the future will be {#blank#}1{#/blank#} from life today. Between then and now many changes will happen. But what will the changes be?

    The population is growing fast. There will be many people in the world and most of them will live longer than people live now.

    Computers will be much {#blank#}2{#/blank#} and more useful，and there will be at least one in every home. And computer studies will be one of the important {#blank#}3{#/blank#} in schools then. People will work fewer hours {#blank#}4{#/blank#} they do now and they will have more free time for sports，watching TV and traveling. Traveling will be much cheaper and {#blank#}5{#/blank#}. And many more people will go to other countries for {#blank#}6{#/blank#}.

    There will be changes in our food，too. More land will be used for building new towns and houses for all the people. Then there will be less room for cows and sheep，so {#blank#}7{#/blank#} will be more expensive. Maybe no one will eat it every day. Instead，they will eat more fruits and {#blank#}8{#/blank#}. Maybe people will be healthier. Work in the future will be different，too. {#blank#}9{#/blank#} will do dangerous and hard work. Because of this，many people will not have enough work to do. This will be a {#blank#}10{#/blank#}.

    Nobody likes a computer virus, but at least you can get rid of it. And there is a lot of anti-virus(抗病毒) software these days. It can find a virus, fix it and you can forget about it. Unluckily the same isn't{#blank#}1{#/blank#}for spyware(间谍软件).

    What is spyware? It is software that{#blank#}2{#/blank#}somewhere on your computer. It collects information about what you do on the Internet and passes the information on to companies without your permission(允许). If you shop on the Internet and use your credit card, you should know that some spyware will{#blank#}3{#/blank#}the information.

    Your computer can catch spyware through lots of ways. If you open the wrong e-mail, {#blank#}4{#/blank#}you visit the wrong website, spyware can download itself onto your computer. And spyware often comes with free software.
