    I am grateful to my English teacher Susan, at whose help I couldn't have won first prize in the English Talent Competition for high school student last week.

    I used to be poorly in spoken English. I was too shy to speak in class. Since she teaches us last term, she has been encouraging him to overcome fear and speak out in class. Thanks to her, I have made great progresses. Besides, I practiced several times in the front of her.  It was her advice which made me a better speaker and full of confidence.  But I owe my success to her.

    Susan set a good example to me. I am determined to become an English teacher when I grow up.

    It was Monday morning, and the writing class had just begin. Everyone was silent, wait to see who would be called upon to read his and her paragraph aloud.     When my father bought me a computer as a birthday gift in last year, I felt very exciting. As we all know, computers are getting more and more usefully now. Much informations can be stored in them. We can also learn that has lately happened in the world on Internet. In the past, people had to do lots of work which was very dangerous. Now, but, computers can do it instead. When an exam is coming, I often did some exercises on my computer. Then it will correct it and tell me the right answers. In this way it is more convenient for me to preparing for exams than before. The computer has become my real friend.

    Last Sunday was funny day for my father. After supper, my father went to see a film. But to our surprise, he returned back just about half an hour later. I asked him what was the matter. He smiled and told us about the funny thing what had happened in the cinema. He was sitting in his seat while a woman came to him and said the seat was her.
