Nowadays, more and more schools in China have rules making students wear school uniforms to school. A lot of Chinese students complain about{#blank#}1{#/blank#} (wear) their school uniforms every day. But do American students get {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(annoy) about their uniforms, too? American high schools usually have a dress code(衣着标准), {#blank#}3{#/blank#} is about requirements for students' dressing. Boys at school must wear clean jackets every day. Girls are {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (luck) than boys, for they have more flexible{#blank#}5{#/blank#} (choose) than boys. They can either dress similarly to the boys {#blank#}6{#/blank#}wear a dress. In general, it takes a student 10-15 minutes every morning {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (dress) up for class. As students do in China, plenty of American students also have their complaints about school uniforms. What if students really dislike the dress code and want to get rid of it? Instead of getting punished, {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (actual) there're ways to do that. At my school, "dress down" tickets {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (sell) on school days. If students are willing to buy a ticket, they don't need to wear school uniforms the following day. I have a strong  {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (believe) that one day Chinese students can buy these tickets, too.

    Here's a message {#blank#}1{#/blank#} needs to be kept in mind by every mom and dad. You love your kids not because o {#blank#}2{#/blank#} they do, but because of who they are.

China's Tea Villages

    In most Chinese tea villages, March is the time of year in {#blank#}1{#/blank#} locals start to pick and process tea. The usually quiet villages suddenly become busy centers of activity, as people take out special tools and prepare {#blank#}2{#/blank#} tea processing. In some villages, local residents hold traditional ceremonies,{#blank#}3{#/blank#} (thank) heaven for its blessing. The price of tea {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(pick) in March is extremely high because {#blank#}5{#/blank#}is fresh, tender and contains multiple trace elements.

    China {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(be) famous for tea production since ancient times. Of the goods transported and traded along {#blank#}7{#/blank#}Old Silk Road linking China to the Middle East and Europe, the importance of tea was matched only by silk. China produces Oolong, black, green, white, yellow {#blank#}8{#/blank#}dark (aka post-fermented) tea. The Oolong, green and black {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(vary)are most notable for their high quality.

    Most of China's tea villages are found in remote mountainous areas in the country's south and southwest,{#blank#}10{#/blank#} the beautiful scenery is often hidden under clouds.

    The giant panda {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (love) by people throughout the world. Chinese scientists {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (recent) had a chance to study a wild female panda with a newborn baby.She was a very {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (care) mother. For 25 days, she never left her baby, not even to find something {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (eat)！She would not let any other pandas come near. She licked the baby constantly to keep it clean. Any smell might attract natural {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (enemy) that would try to eat the little panda.The mother held the baby in her front paws much the way a human does. {#blank#}6{#/blank#} it cried, she rocked it back and forth and gave it little comforting pats. The mother continued to care for the young panda {#blank#}7{#/blank#} more than two years. By that time，the panda no longer needed {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (it) mother for food.     A proverb says, “Time is money”. But in my opinion, time is even {#blank#}1{#/blank#}precious than money. Why? {#blank#}2{#/blank#} when money is spent, we can earn it back. However, when time is {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(go), it will never return.

    {#blank#}4{#/blank#} is known to all that the time we can use is limited. Therefore we should make {#blank#}5{#/blank#} use of our time to study hard so as to serve our country in {#blank#}6{#/blank#} future.

    Many teachers believe that hands－on experience is the {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(good) way to learn. A group of students in the United States are putting that belief to the test. They {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (success) designed and built a robot for discovering unexplored mines {#blank#}3{#/blank#} the bottom of the sea. Students made the robot {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(answer) a challenge from the U．S. Department of Defense.

    The students recently tested the underwater vehicle {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(call) PerseusⅡin a 95－meter－long tank of water at the Stevens Institute of Technology.

    The robot costs about $15,000 to build. The students use a video game control to direct {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(it) movements in the tank. What's more, devices known as Japters {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (able) the robot to go up, down and toward its target in the water. Video cameras on the robot send images back to a computer through a 13－meter－long cable. Perseus Ⅱ,{#blank#}8{#/blank#}the students worked up to 20 hours a week to design and build, also has {#blank#}9{#/blank#} set of lasers (激光), which are used to measure the size of an object.

    DeLorme supervised the project from {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(begin) to end. He says the specialized requirements of robots were demanding.
