    Last weekend, our class went hiking. Early in the morning, we gathered at People's Square in the city center and then head for the South Mountain, which was 8 kilometers away. Our goal was to climbing to the top, from which we could enjoy a good view.

    It was an exhausted hike and the heats consumed all our energy. Therefore, when we finally reached to our destination, the view took our breath away. It was well wroth walking such long distance. Because I not only got relaxed by enjoying the beauty of nature but also learned the truth which our efforts will always pay off in the end.

    In early January this year, the rate of UFO reports were steady, around three per weeks. When, however, on Monday, January 16, a science fiction film about visitors to outer space was shown on television, there was the immediate increase in reports of sightings from all parts of the States. The commanding officer, Wayne Tyler, who directly responsible for the study of all such reports, decided to making his findings known. They wrote an article, which said that all UFO reports could be explained for quite naturally by aircraft movements. Follow this explanation, there was a rapid drop in the number of reported sightings, because the rate remained above the previous level.

    This summer, I attended a journalism-themed summer camp, where I learn a lot.

    I was deeply impressed by the interviews carrying out in the streets. In the beginning, I wasn't used to talk to strangers. But under the help of my teammates, I was able to communicate smooth with them. Then we were noticed most of the answers that we got were brief. Before we discussed the problem, my teammates and I realized that it was because the questions weren't open-ended enough. So we changed their questions and our interviewees were more willing to share with us their ideas in end.

    From this experience, I've gained several skill for interviewing people as a journalist.
