A Thanks-giving Campaign Day
    Today, we had a thanks-giving campaign day in our school with a lot of activities. In the morning, I made some thank-you cards and they {#blank#}1{#/blank#}to my teachers after class. The teachers were very happy to get them. From 3: 00 to 4:00 p. m, I joined in a speech contest. In it, I {#blank#}2{#/blank#}  a thank-you letter to Mum and Dad. After I came back home in the evening, I helped my parents {#blank#}3{#/blank#} the room and cook supper.
    I had such a meaningful day today. I realize that my parents and teachers and many others {#blank#}4{#/blank#} a lot for me now. I must thank them by {#blank#}5{#/blank#} harder and becoming a useful person in the future.

    Today I'd like to tell you a little about the people I admire the most.

    My first hero is the adventure Jessica Watson. In October 2009, when she was only sixteen years old, Jessica left Sydeney, Australia and sailed {#blank#}1{#/blank#}the Pacific, Atlantic and India Oceans all by herself. She {#blank#}2{#/blank#}to Sydney in May 2010. She is the youngest person to sail solo unsupported around the world. I have a lot of respect for her as she was {#blank#}3{#/blank#}to face difficulties and danger alone. Australians were so {#blank#}4{#/blank#}her that they called her "our newest Australian hero."

    Ever since his new movie Guardians of the Galaxy(《银河护卫队》became a hot topic at the box office, Chris Pratt has become{#blank#}1{#/blank#}around the world. But do you know that the actor comes from a poor family? His road to fame has not been easy. After{#blank#}2{#/blank#}high school, Chris attended college. However, his time as a college student was short. He dropped out(辍学) one year later. Then, he made a living with different kinds of jobs, {#blank#}3{#/blank#}a salesman and a restaurant waiter. For a short time, he was homeless and slept on the{#blank#}4{#/blank#}.
