    One night, I was on my home for my Christmas holiday when my car broke down. It was complete dead, and I was a few miles away from my home in that cold, wet night. I decided to walk around a little after accepting that I'd have to spend the night in the car. Maybe I can find a telephone. Actually, I didn't have to walk far before I found the small house standing in a field with a light shone from the sitting room. I knocked the door and was delighting when a pleasant old man opened the door and listened to my story carefully. He said he had no telephone and that it wasn't any within walking distance, but the old man who offered to go to repair my car.

    Harmony is very important to our society. All of us are looking forward to live in a harmonious society. As students, I thought we should first keep our dormitories with harmony. For one thing, it can create a good environment for my studies and life. For other, it can help us grow healthily. Unfortunately, there are some way to make our dormitories harmonious. Firstly, we should learn to understand each other and solve everything in the peace. Secondly, we should try to get rid our own bad habits. Lastly, we should share or get on with each other.

    Times waits for no man. This is something I learned very clear last term. I spent so much time fool around that my grades began to fall. I finally realize that something necessary had to done. It was time of a change.

    Now I have a new plan for using my time wisely. I have set my alarm clock ahead half a hour. This will give him a head start on the day. I have also been decided to keep a record of what I do and when I do it. Looking back on which I've done will give me some idea on how to rearrange my time.

    Last year, my father promised when I did well in my exams, he would give me the special prize. After that I worked hardly and finally got very good marks. Knowing my dream was to see some real snow, my parents took me a local ski resort(滑雪胜地) for my winter holiday. As we climb through the mountains, we saw the snow on the tree. No one in my family had ever been touched snow before. We were all exciting like little children but delighted to play with the snow! We picked the snow up, made snowballs and threw it at each other!

    Last month, my classmate, John, caught bad cold. The news which he was running a high fever and ordinary medicine hadn't worked on him immediate reached everybody in our class. Some recorded the English lessons for him so that he could keep up on his studies. Our English teacher calls on him at weekends. Thanks to everybody's kind help, he failed to falling behind in his studies and finally came back to the class. With love, no illness or difficulty are terrible. Love and help are two-way streets. Our classmates were offered John help partly because he had always been a warm-heart boy. So I realise that when we help others, we are helping us.
