    "My dream has come true. I have always wanted to be a Grand Slam(大满贯) champion." These are the words of Chinese tennis player Li Na after she became the first Asian woman to win a Grand Slam final in the French Open on June 4, 2011.

    "People were saying I'm getting old. So this is a great success for such an old woman," the 29-year-old girl joked.

    Miss Li has a tattoo(纹身). She has dyed her hair many different colors. And, at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, she told her fans to "shut up" when they got too noisy in their support.

    Li Na was born in Wuhan, she started to play tennis at the age of 6. She once recalled: "As a child, I felt sad because every day I had to wake up early to practice. After school I had to practice more. I didn't have time to play."

    Luckily, the strong girl didn't give up, thus making history for Chinese tennis time after time.

    Now the new champion is already thinking about winning another Grand Slam title. "when you have one title, surely you will think about another," she says, not hiding her ambition(雄心)。

    "Chinese people are so lacking(缺乏) in confidence on the tennis court. If there is a person like me who can prove we Chinese can do it, the other young players in China will feel the same," she said.

    What about my plans for the summer vacation? First, I will go to Shanghai with my sister Kate. There are many interesting places in Shanghai, and we can also taste the delicious food there. After that, I will spend some time reading books. I will play tennis with my friends, too.—— Peter

    Mr Jones, the owner of a farm, was one day driven out of the farm by all the animals he kept．The animals were excited to be masters of their farm．Animals made seven rules of their own and Snowball painted them on the wall．

    ⒈Whatever walks on two legs is an enemy;

    ⒉Whatever walks on four legs, or has wings, is a friend;

    ⒊No animal shall wear clothes;

    ⒋No animal shall sleep in bed;

    ⒌No animal shall drink alcohol(酒);

    ⒍No animal shall kill any other animal;

    ⒎All animals are equal．

    They were nicely written, except that "friend" was written "friend"．Snowball read them out, and all the animals agreed．

    "Now, let's go to the field．Let's get in the harvest more quickly than Jones and his men could do．"

    But at this moment the three cows, who had seemed uneasy for some time, shouted because they hadn't been milked for 24 hours．Then the pigs began to help milk the cows successfully．Soon there were five buckets (桶) of creamy milk at which many animals

    looked with great interest．"What's going to happen to all the milk?" asked one animal．"Jones used to mix some of it in our food," said one of the hens．"Never mind the milk," cried Napoleon, standing in front of the buckets, "the harvest is more important．Mr Snowball will lead the way, and I'll follow in a few minutes．"

    So the animals ran down to the field to begin the harvest, and when they came back in the evening, it was noticed that the milk had disappeared．

    Thirteen-year-old Sophie had been bullied (欺凌) at school for two years. She had had her keys and mobile phone stolen. She had also been knocked off her bicycle, kicked and punched (以拳重击). She tried to fight back, but it always seemed to be her, not the bullies, who got into trouble.

    Her headmaster encourages students to look after one another. He encouraged Sophie to play the guitar in a school concert. It gave Sophie new confidence and earned her respect from the other students.

    Sadly, Sophie's story is not rare. Bullying is always around us. They can take many forms. And there are new bullies. Cyber (网络的) bullies can be harder to avoid and harder to catch. It is too easy to send a nameless threat by text, or post something insulting (侮辱的) on social media. Yet the results can be serious for the victim.

    But help is out there. There are many charities and organizations giving support to young people. Remember one very important piece of advice: If you are being bullied, don't put up with it-tell someone.

    A poor (贫穷的) man goes to a rich (富有的) man's house. On the way, he sees a box under a tree. He opens it and sees some apples in it.

    The man thinks, "I will have dinner in the rich man's house. He will give me nice food to eat. It will be very delicious." So he doesn't eat the apples. He throws them away (扔掉).

    The man walks on and comes to a river. He can't go across it. He waits for some time, but there is no boat coming. "What a bad day! I can't go to the rich man's house today," he thinks.

    The man has to go back home. He doesn't have any food at home. He is very hungry. He thinks of the apples. He goes back to the tree. He is very happy to see them near the tree, and he eats them quickly.

   The story tells us: Do not throw away good things; you may need them some other time.
