In Cixi, Zhejiang province, every family was enjoying the May Day holiday. A middle-age d man put down his chopsticks and went out with a tool bag, leaving his wife at home. He is Qian Haijun who was honored the title of "Model of the Times" on May 6th 2022.

Qian Haijun is a worker who deals with electric problems. In the past 23 years, he has spent all his spare time in helping a number of families with electric problems. Qian Haijun has made 500 cards with his name and telephone number and handed them out so that people would know who to call when a problem comes. He answers every call at any time and values them very much. People often say he not only lights up the rooms, but also lights up their hearts. He also pays much attention to the group of elderly people over 60 who live on their own. He realizes that the elderly need companionship（陪伴） more than anything else. Over the past few years, he has become the"good son" of more than 100 elderly people. 

His stories were made into a mini movie, and even the Ningbo and Cixi Volunteer Service Centres are named after him. Under his leadership, more than 1200 volunteers have joined the project for the disabled, covering places like Zhejiang, Tibet, Guizhou and Sichuan. And they have provided help more than 30000 times. 

"I am a common person, I will never think about stopping offering help to people in need, and Iwill try my best to bring beauty to the world", he said. 

 What do you often do on weekends? Watch TV? Go out with your friends? For Wang Licheng, he helps his father {#blank#}1{#/blank#} ( sell) pancakes at his father's pancake store.

 Wang Licheng is {#blank#}2{#/blank#} eleven- year- old boy from Zaozhuang, Shandong. Many people know him {#blank#}3{#/blank#} there is a short video about him on the Internet. In the video, Wang is wearing a blue T- shirt. He is busy cutting pancakes and putting{#blank#}4{#/blank#}( they) into bags at the store. It looks like he is good at {#blank#}5{#/blank#} ( make) it.

 Every weekend Wang gets to the store with his father {#blank#}6{#/blank#} bike and works for over ten hours a day, from early morning to late night. After that, he does the{#blank#}7{#/blank#}( dish). Sometimes he gets tired. But when he sees his father in the kitchen, he thinks what he does is not a big thing.

" My father {#blank#}8{#/blank#} ( usual) works in the kitchen all day long. He works very hard. I know he is more tired than me. Now I {#blank#}9{#/blank#} ( do) what I can do to help him," Wang says.

 The {#blank#}10{#/blank#} ( boy) story touches many people. They all say he is a good boy.

I was in fifth grade and about to take a science test. Since first grade, I had always been good at school. Simple science was 1 for me and I always did well on tests. When it came to fifth-grade science, however, I was struggling (挣扎). I couldn't seem to 2 it no matter how hard I tried. I was 3 .

My mom and dad had always been so proud of my grade, and I didn't want to let them down. So just before the test I had written several 4 from the textbook on my desk in pencil. The writing could hardly be seen. I sat 5 as the teacher started to hand out to the test. I didn't want to get caught, but I didn't want to 6 , either.

As the teacher was starting down my row, suddenly the fire alarm 7 . It was a fire drill (消防演习). We all 8 out of the door and stood together, waiting to be allowed back into the building.

Rita was tired from basketball practice, and she had to study for the next day's math test. Instead of either sleeping or studying, however, she was babysitting. And it wasn't 1 !
