Have you ever seen the movie. Big Hero 6 ? Baymax(大白) is a main character in the movie. He's a friendly big robot that looks after people's health. If there is a robot like Baymax in our real life, people will get more benefits. The robot will be especially helpful in caring for the old. The health of old people needs greater monitoring and care.

Scientists in America are now working to make Baymax a really(实现)- Actually. They have already produced some health care robots. These robots provide brain video games to improve people's memory. The garner can help the old remember things for longer. Besides, these  provide special app (应用程序) to help the old manage their health at home. The apps can check  the old people' heart rate (心率) and tell them to take their medicine on lime. The apps can also record their daily activities. Such collected information helps doctors discover the cause of an illness faster and more correctly. But the health care robots are't as clever as Baymax yet.

Nowadays, scientists are working on improving the health care robots. They pope the robots can produce electricity by walking across the floor. If they succeed. batteries will not be needed. They also hope the robots communicate with humans in the daily life so to make people happier and healthier.

Scientists are trying to realize these dreams. Like Baymax, these health care robots may save people's lives in the future. We are looking forward to them.

Dear Edward,

How are you doing? I just visited Machu Picchu in Peru today. I've never seen such a great place before. This place is so amazing that I want to share my feelings with you.

When I first got to Machu Picchu, I felt like I was walking in the sky. Even the clouds were just under my feet. Do you know how high Machu Picchu is? I was surprised that it was at about 2,500m. How could people build a city on such a high mountain? It must have been very difficult to move stones there.

Before the Europeans arrived, the Incas (印加人) were the last and the most modern society in the Andes (安第斯山). The Incas were afraid that the Spanish would find them, so they built Machu Picchu on an Andes plain (平地) as a secret city in the 14th or 15th century. As a result, the Spanish never found Machu Picchu.

An American explorer discovered Machu Picchu in 1911. For a long time before that, nobody even knew Machu Picchu was there. After Machu Picchu was found, it was called “The Lost City of the Incas”. It is still a mystery why and how Machu Picchu was left and forgotten by everyone.

I just had a wonderful day. Especially, I will never forget the “goodbye boy” who was a local boy dressed in traditional Inca clothes. When we went down the mountain by bus, the boy waved goodbye to us until we were out of sight (视线). He shouted some words at us too, and I guess, it meant, “Goodbye, come back again soon!” Why don't you visit Machu Picchu someday? I am sure you will love this place as much as I do.

Yours truly,

Lynn

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's your online shopping! Imagine a world where your shopping was dropped off on your doorstep by a delivery (投递) drone (无人机). Well, many companies are working to make this idea a reality. Among them, Amazon and UPS are just some of the front runners in the race to have the first ever business drone delivery service.

Pros:

①Fast. Delivery drones can cut down the time of delivery to just 30 minutes.

②Environmentally friendly. Companies like UPS have started that the use of drones would cut down on waste gas (气体).

③Cheap. Though exact prices for drone delivery aren't known, companies such as Amazon suggest deliveries could be as cheap as $1.

④Emergencies. Drones can fly straight to areas they're needed without using any roads.

From Dispatch (分派) to Doorstep:

Usually products available for drone delivery will be stored somewhere nearby. Customers will choose these products through shopping apps or websites. The suggested weight to be carried is no more than 2.3 kilograms. Once the products are put into the drone, it will take off from the dispatch center. It will fly below 120m and avoid any "No Fly Zones" like airports for safety reasons. Before landing, a pad will be placed in the customer's garden for the drone's landing. After the drone puts down its product, it will rise to return to the dispatch center. So a drone delivery could one day be just a touch of an app with your finger.

Cons:

①Weather like strong winds, lightning storms and heavy rainfall may influence deliveries.

②Dispatch centers will have to be built within certain distance.

③Drones might be unable to land safely in high-rise buildings.

④Something will have to be done to make sure about the safety of the products and of people walking below.

    The future of flying transportation

Though the delivery drone service is alive with new technology, we are a long way from seeing them through the air. There are still many difficulties such as flight law making. It's said that by 2021 we might see the beginning of drone delivery systems in action.
