    Everyone has a dream. We are on the way to achieve it whether the way is smooth or tough. As a Senior 3 student, I have a same dream as my classmates I can be admitted to an ideal university. In the past three years, I had done everything I can to equip myself with what I have learnt from my teachers. Not only have I enjoyed the pleasure of study but also I have got father to my dream. Anxiety and pressure did discourage from me at time. Moreover, with the encouragement of my teachers and classmates, I think they will make it.

    I'm sure that there is still a long way to go to achieve my dream. No matter how challenging it is, I'll make it come true. As a proverb saying, “Where there is a will, there's a way.”

    I often quarrel with my mother over if I can watch TV after school. She holds the view that high school students has to make full use of every minute to work hard at their lesson. It seems to her that once I am allowed to do that, I'll be unable to control myself and forgot all about my study. I also thinks watching TV is bad for my eyes. But I really can't accept her ideas. In my opinion, watching TV can make my mind to have a rest after a day's hardly work. Beside, it is important for us to know what has happened home and abroad. Thus, we shouldn't be forbidding to watch TV.

    Studying in the UK have been a good experience for me. When I first arrived, I find life very hard as I didn't know anybody here, but I soon got to know other Chinese student at the university. Later I became interesting in communicating with people from various cultures, and I made fewer friends.

    During my study, I chose to live in with my classmates in the dormitory. I think it's better than living in British family because I can meet people from different countries easy. The courses here are excellent. I enjoy the way the teachers give lessons. We are encouraged to think for yourselves, which is quite different from that I have experienced before.

    Nowadays, people argue a lot about if or not to celebrate western festivals, as western festivals are becoming more and more popular in China, especial among young people. They said they celebrate western festivals because they are exciting than Chinese festivals. In my opinion, western festivals are basing on the cultural traditions of the western country, and I see no reason why we should celebrate their festivals. We are Chinese, and we mustn't forget our cultural roots. In fact, Chinese cultural traditions are really great, but we should take pride in it. On a word, I am prefer Chinese festivals.

Dear Weihua,

    I know you are very annoying about your results in the midterm examination. I've just read an useful article about how a positive attitude affect our behavior.

    Naturally, fail an examination can be very discouraging. If you think too many about the past, you will never be able to focus what is more important for now and the future. Life is full of difficulties, but anyone may suffer setbacks. We must take a positive attitude towards the things we have to deal with. Great dreams do come truly if we make an effort. Just work hard and make preparation for another chance.
