Study Habits You Should Be Practising
With exams, essays, projects, and many deadlines for different things, effective(有效的)study habits are necessary. If you are in need of a bit of an improvement, keep reading for the top four study habits that you should be practicing.
⒈Make and use flashcards.
By using flashcards with a question on one side and the answer on the other, you will force your brain to recall he necessary information. Even if you struggle a bit with a card, you will still be actively revising the necessary material.
⒉Revise, revise, revise!
Many students put off studying until just before the exam, with the more hardworking students giving themselves a week or two before a test. It's best to revise the information a little bit every day, so that you are not upset when a test comes around.
⒊
One of the most effective—and the most fun—methods of studying is to watch related lectures and videos in order to get more material. Watch documentaries or videos on YouTube and educational websites. You may be surprised at how much you can learn from videos, and just how much information is available online.
⒋Re-write your notes.
Studies have shown that writing information out by hand increases your ability to remember the material. This makes the recall go hand-in-hand with muscle memory.
These are the four most effective study habits, and something all successful students do. Make sure you are on top of your game by following these study methods!
A. Watch related lectures and videos. B. One method of revising is to make a mind-map. C. Use these graded tests to create a new practice test. D. Having these great study habits can make things easier. E. However, it's actually an ineffective method of preparing and studying. F. Flashcards are designed to improve active memory recall of information. G. You will be able to picture your written notes when you are taking the exam. |
Every time we get behind the wheel of a car, we put our lives and the lives of others at risk. Self-driving cars are designed to reduce those risks by letting technology control our vehicles.
Accident rates for self-driving cars have been much lower than the rate, for human-driven cars. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}
As humans, we can make moral choices in avoiding accidents. To avoid hitting a child, for example, human drivers might sharply turn a car away from the child even if others may be injured. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} Researchers studied this issue. They have developed the Moral Machine website to help explore the choices self-driving cars should make.
{#blank#}3{#/blank#} You are shown two possible traffic situations and you choose between them. An accident will take place. You choose how many living beings would be hurt or killed.
In one situation there may be a female doctor, a child, two dogs and a homeless person who would be killed. In the other situation, you might have two babies and a cat who would be killed. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}
The Moral Machine website has many situations and many possible outcomes. When you click on the situation of your choice, it will be highlighted. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} At the end of the situation, you are shown the results, based on the choices you made. The results show which character you were most likely to save and which character you were most likely to have die.
A. Who should those victims be? B. Then the next situation appears. C. You choose who lives and who dies. D. You can use the Moral Machine to be the judge. E. But what moral choices can self-driving cars make? F. The Moral Machine website lets you choose how you would react in a collision. G. Google's self-driving car has had only 13 collisions after traveling 1.8 million miles. |
A. What do network security experts do B. Try using shortened phrases for passwords C. How can we ensure the safety of a password D. Changing password regularly is an effective way E. That is like closing a door but not actually locking it F. It is used to say farewell to popular passwords like "123456" G. And it is also difficult for us to remember a long irregular password |
The first Thursday in May is World Password Day, but don't buy a cake or send cards. Computer chip maker Intel created the event as an annual reminder. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}.
The purpose of a password is to limit access to information. Having a very common or simple one like "abcdef" or even normal words like "password", is barely any security at all. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}. Hackers' password cracking tools take advantage of this lack of creativity and get in our accounts easily. More experienced users would choose a less common password. However, they might still fall victim to cracking software.
{#blank#}3{#/blank#}? A secure password is all that stands between us and a cybercriminal. It should be unique and complex which a hacker can't easily guess or crack. The best passwords are supposed to be at least 15 characters long and full of random numbers and letters. However, a long password means a complicated process to log into a website. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}. You may want to write it down, but it is not suggested due to risk.
Then what should we do? {#blank#}5{#/blank#}. You can choose a phrase such as "I want to go to England." Next, convert it to an abbreviation (缩略语) by using the first letters of each word and changing the word "to" to "2". Then you get following password phrase: iw2g2e. You can make it even more complex by adding punctuation, spaces or symbols: %iw_2g2e!@. It is much easier to remember and safer.
Can't wait to try? Let's say goodbye to "666666" and change your password right now.
