    Wikipedia is an online free encyclopedia. There are more than 38 million articles about society, history, culture, music, science, technology, geography and so on. On this website, people can find articles about almost everything in the world. Wikipedia has also developed 292 language versions for people to read in their own languages.

    Jimmy Wales and Larry Sanger started this encyclopedia project on 9th March, 2000. It was called Nupedia at first. And all the articles were written and checked by experts. Wales thought that the website should be a place where its users could not only find information but also share what they knew. So they tried to use a wiki system（wiki is a Hawaiian word "wee kee wee kee" which firstly meant "quick"）. On 10th January, 2001, they began a new project to improve Nupedia. On 15th January, 2001, the new online encyclopedia named Wikipedia was set up. Wikipedia achieved a great success.

According to the Alexa Traffic Rank report on 22nd May, 2016, Wikipedia is the seventh most popular website in the world. Every single user helps to make this popular free encyclopedia.

    Many people think the camel stores water in its hump (驼峰), but it does not. Instead, the camel stores something else there—food. The camel's hump is really a hump of fat (脂肪). The camel is often called "a ship of the desert". When the camel is not travelling and is in a place where there is much food and water, it eats and drinks a lot. As it does so, its hump rises from the fat its body makes. Then, when the camel is travelling through the desert and when there is no food, it can live off the stored fat.

    A camel can go on for days or weeks with little food or water. However, when its hunger reaches the starvation (饿死)point, its hump shrinks (收缩) and may even slip off its back and hang down its side.

    Camels are not fussy (挑剔的) about what they eat. Thorny (多刺的) plants don't hurt their mouths, grass of any kind will do and so will hay, dry grain and cactuses (干草, 干粮, 仙人掌).

There are one­ hump camels and two­ hump camels. Camels with one hump are called Arabian camels. They come from North Africa. Camels with two humps are from Asia.

    Sun bears(马来熊)are the smallest of the world's eight bears species(物种). They have a black coat and a white or golden colour on their bodies. Their homes are in the tropical(热带雨林)of Southeast Asia. They live in trees and eat both plants and animals. They can grow to be 1.4 metres in height and 65 kilograms in weight. They usually live alone and are happy to spend most of their time by themselves.

    Scientists studied sun bears in the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Center. They found that although sun bears live alone, they have developed a surprising social skill. They can copy (模仿) other sun bear's facial expression (面部表情) as a form of communication. They can even copy exact muscular (肌肉的) movements that other sun bears make— such as making a face.

    The ability to copy facial expressions is found in humans, gorilla's (大猩猩), some monkeys and some other animals. But until now, only humans and gorillas have the ability to exactly copy facial expressions. However, scientists found that sun bears can copy facial expression as well as humans and gorillas. This surprised them because sun bears are alone and they have no close relationship with human beings.

    Although they live alone in the wild, the sun bears in the study often played gently with each other. Sometimes they played with faster actions as hitting and biting. Scientists are still not sure what messages the sun bears were sending to one another.
