Do you use a calendar to help you organize your life? By listing what you need to do on any special day, you can make sure to keep all for your appointments and not worry whether you've forgotten something. Calendars are also useful for reminding(提醒) people what day a certain holiday is on and what days you might have off from work. Besides, they are used for planning fun things like vacations and outings.
A calendar is usually divided into twelve parts, and each one stands for m month with all the days laid out in a grid-like (网格状的) form. A block of space usually is for are day, and there is enough space for you to write down what you need to do on that certain day. You probably use all different kinds of calendars. A calendar on your cell phone screen is easy to use, and so is a large paper calendar that hangs on your wall.

Australia is a very big country. It also has many big tourist attractions(旅游景点). The Big Banana is in CoffsHarbour. It was made in 1964 byJohn Landy. John wanted something to make people come to his fruit shop,so he built the Big Banana. The idea worked. Many people visited his fruit shop and took pictures of the Big Banana. The Big Merino(美利奴羊) The Big Merino is in the city of Goulburn. Merinos are a type of sheep. They can live in dry weather. Some places in Australia are very dry, so these sheep are very important to the farmers there. Inside the Big Merino, there is a small museum about the history of wool in Australia. Visitors can also climb up to the Big Merino's head and look at the view through its eyes. |

Yungang Grottoes(石窟) Location: in the south Datong, Shanxi Reasons to visit: Listed among top 4 grottoes in China, one of World Heritage Sites, it is said to be the best protected Buddhist cave art in China with 53 caves with over 51, 000 stone carvings of Buddha and Buddhist dating from the 5th and 6th centuries. Best time to visit: summer and autumn. | |
Suzhou Classical Gardens Location: in the downtown area of Suzhou, Jiangsu Reasons to visit: Listed as a World Heritage Site in 1997, the gardens of Suzhou represent the Development Chinese landscape garden design over more than 2000 years. Best time to visit: all year round. |

The Science Museum (London, the UK)is interesting for people of all ages. It's free to enter and open from 10 a.m.to 6 p.m.You can talk and even operate machines there. You can do a lot of physics experiments in the Launchpad. You can also learn about what machines were like in the past on the fourth and fifth floors. |
