    Simon and Daming are good friends. They are Chinese.  But they are working in America. Sometimes they miss their family. So they always go to the Chinatown. There are lots of Chinese shops and restaurants there. They go shopping there and eat delicious food there. You know, Simon and Daming really miss China and they both like Chinese food.

    Ann is an English girl. She lives in China with her parents. She likes traveling. Next week she plans to have a three-day holiday in Guangzhou with her family. They'll take the plane there. It's fast and fun. They are going to visit Sculpture of the Five Rams and other interesting places. And they'll take lots of photos and eat special food there. What a great trip! She can't wait!

    Yesterday was Sunday. My family went to the Renmin Park. There were many people. Some rode bikes. Some went fishing. Some flew kites. The kites flew very high in the sky. We played football. My father ran fast, my mother helped me, but I didn't win. We were very happy.

    At the Christmas party, Bill tells Xiao Yu a story about his friend. My friend Ricky has a sister Kitty. One day they both have an invitation for Parents' Day at their schools.

    Kitty says, "Let me give the two cards to Mum and Dad." But Ricky says, "No, let me give the cards to them." They both want to get the cards. Oh, no! They tear(撕破) each card in two. They feel bad.

    They quickly stick(粘贴) the cards back together and give them to Mum. "Mum, here are our invitation cards for Parents' Day."

    It's Feb. 16th. Mum and Dad say to them, "We're going to Parents'" Day now. See you.

    But Mum and Dad come back soon. It's not Parents' Day at Ricky's school today. Kitty says, "Sorry, it's my Parents' Day today, from 3:00 to 3:30."

    Dad says, "it's 2:30 now. Be quick! There's still time to get to Kitty's school" They run out of the house.
