Isaac Newton was born in  Woolsthorpe , England, on December 25,1642. He was born early and he was very{#blank#}1{#/blank#} .No one believed he could continue to live. But he surprised {#blank#}2{#/blank#}  . He had one of the most powerful minds in history. And he lived{#blank#}3{#/blank#}he was 84.

 Newton's father died before he was born. His mother married again a few years later. She {#blank#}4{#/blank#} Newton with his grandmother.

 The boy was not a good student .Yet he was curious(好奇的) and liked to make things ,such as kites, clocks and simple machines . Newton also{#blank#}5{#/blank#} finding new ways to answer questions or solve problems .As a boy ,for example, he wanted to find a way to measure(测量) the {#blank#}6{#/blank#}  of the wind .On a windy day , he measured how far he could jump with the wind at his back .Then he measured{#blank#}7{#/blank#} he could jump with the wind in his face .From the difference between the two jumps, he made his own measure of the power of the wind.

 Strangely ,Newton became a much better student after a boy kicked him in the stomach.The boy was one of the best students in the school.Newton decided to get even (报复) by getting {#blank#}8{#/blank#} marks than the boy who kicked him .In a short time ,Newton became the top student at the school.

 Newton left school to help on the family farm.{#blank#}9{#/blank#} , the boy was not a good farmer.He spent his time solving math problems. Instead of taking care of the farm. He spent hours visiting a bookstore in town, {#blank#}10{#/blank#}   selling his vegetables in the market.An uncle believed that Newton would do better as a student than as a farmer.So he sponsored(资助) the young man into Cambridge University to study math.

    Paul is very busy {#blank#}1{#/blank#} days. Every day he gets up {#blank#}2{#/blank#} in the morning. Then he cleans his room. Paul {#blank#}3{#/blank#} breakfast at half past six. After that, he{#blank#}4{#/blank#} to the bus station to take the bus. He begins to work at eight o'clock. He likes {#blank#}5{#/blank#} job.

    You may not know a lot of people when you start high school. This really makes you feel {#blank#}1{#/blank#} because you don't know who to talk to when you have problems.{#blank#}2{#/blank#} you know some freshmen(新生), you still feel worried that you don't know any elder students and teachers. How are you going to make friends with these unknown people? 

    {#blank#}3{#/blank#} most high schools hold a freshman training before school actually starts. These are helpful because you learn your way around the buildings. You also get to meet some of your teachers and other freshmen. That way, you may already recognize a few{#blank#}4{#/blank#} faces when you go to school on your first day.

    I work in a cleaning company. Usually people call us, and we {#blank#}1{#/blank#} house cleaning service.

    One day, I got a call from a man named David." I want to help an old man. He just had surgery (手术) and is still {#blank#}2{#/blank#}.Can I pay for it without letting him know?" he asked. David was a very kind man. He called us because he was worried about his {#blank#}3{#/blank#}, Mr. Smith. Mr. Smith just came back from the hospital. His house was in a {#blank#}4{#/blank#}, but he couldn't do any housework. Even {#blank#}5{#/blank#} the floor was difficult for him. He didn't tell his children because he didn't want them to {#blank#}6{#/blank#} their time taking care of him. David wanted to help Mr. Smith without bringing him any {#blank#}7{#/blank#}.And then we asked David what would happen if Mr. Smith would refuse to let us come into his house." I have to at least try, and {#blank#}8{#/blank#}，I really want to help him，" he said.

    Luckily, Mr. Smith let us in and our workers did a good job.{#blank#}9{#/blank#} we promised David not to tell his name, we didn't tell too much to Mr. Smith. Mr. Smith was touched by the gift from someone he didn't know. Sometimes we don't expect{#blank#}10{#/blank#}on others, because we are afraid of letting them get into trouble. However, there is always someone who cares for you and tries his best to help you.
