In the 21st century classroom, modern technology has made our learning experience more interesting. Also, it's more interactive(互动的).
Now three kinds of tools in the 21st century classroom—a whiteboard, a computer screen and some audio tools(音频工具) are available. They have made a big difference in how students learn. An interactive whiteboard allows the teacher to show pictures and provide sound as well. A large computer screen has colorful pictures and sound in it. So lots of students'attention is attracted by what they see and hear. Different kinds of audio tools, such as earphones and microphone, also help to make sure that everyone can hear the teacher. In the past, if a child missed some of what the teacher said, the child may have been too nervous to ask the teacher to repeat it. Now the students are not likely to miss what the teacher says with these audio tools.
The 21st century classroom is able to teach students more than one thing. Just imagine an English lesson is given in a modern classroom like this. How would it be different from a classroom in the past? The answer is simple. The students would learn about not only the subject itself but also how to use the modern machines.
The 21st century classroom can make teaching and learning easier. Now everyone is able to express their opinions or answer questions without having to speak loud. Since everyone can do it, the teacher can easily see who needs more help in other ways.
It's clear that the 21st century classroom is really making a great difference.

    Teaching your child to read can be one of the most rewarding(值得的) experiences you have as a parent.

{#blank#}1{#/blank#}

Nothing can replace the head start(起步时的优势) that a child receives from becoming familiar(熟悉的) with books and the way that the written word sounds when reading aloud. If your child sees that reading is important to you, then he will be much more likely to want to learn how to read himself.

{#blank#}2{#/blank#}

    If your child shows interest in learning letters and looking through books, he may be ready to begin learning to read. Learning how to read cannot be rushed. If your child has no interest in learning his letters, then wait a month or so and try again.

{#blank#}3{#/blank#}

    You can make this fun, such as saying "I see a [k]-[ӕ]-[t]-cat" whenever you see a cat. The sound of a letter is much more important than a letter's name because the child will need to combine the letter sounds to make words.

{#blank#}4{#/blank#}

    Some children learn their letters faster by seeing or hearing them, while other children learn letters by using their bodies. Encourage your child to draw the letter and then paste pictures of something that begins with that sound onto the letter. Sing songs about the letter. Read your child a story that repeatedly uses that letter sound.

{#blank#}5{#/blank#}

    Rather than try to teach a child 26 new letters at one time, focus on one letter a day or a week. This enables the child to master each letter sound and feel proud of himself/herself for doing so.

A. Show your child your love for reading.

B. Make sure your child is ready to begin learning how to read.

C. Focus on one letter at a time.

D. Teach your child the sound of each letter.

E. Use sight, sound and touch as you teach each letter.
