Jason Weiner is a cook in New York For the past four years, he has offered a "Meatless Monday" menu at his restaurant. The idea is to encourage people to eat more vegetables. To do this, he relies heavily on a vegetable everyone is familiar with: cauliflower.
Over the years, his cauliflower dishes have enjoyed huge popularity.
Weiner, in fact, isn't the only cook experimenting with the vegetable. Cauliflower used to be boring. It was something to buy only when there was nothing else on the shelf. Now, however, it's "taking on a starring role," says food writer Elena North-Kelly. Across the United States, sales of cauliflower have grown rapidly for two years. On the Internet, DIY cauliflower recipes(烹饪法) have been viewed thousands of times each.
Cauliflower can be cooked in many different ways. It can be roasted-like a steak. It can be sliced into a sandwich along with other vegetables. The hottest recipe is cauliflower "rice.” The dish is made by mixing the flower part of cauliflower and then lightly cooking the pieces in oil. The "rice" is rich in vitamins C, K and B6, and very low in calories(卡路里). No doubt it has become very popular.
Unlike other healthy foods, cauliflower is almost always in season. That's because it can be grown everywhere, throughout the year. The vegetable also sells at a low price.

Tara and Beth met in a dancing class and became close friends very quickly. Soon Beth felt comfortable talking to Tara about her own problems, and Tara was always happy to listen to her. One day, Beth heard some other girls talking about the things that only she and Tara knew. Later, Beth found out that Tara was talking behind her back. Beth didn't understand how Tara could be so nice when she was with her, but be a different person when they were not together. The next day at school, Beth started saying bad words about Tara. From then on, when they met, they both said bad words about each other.
It was clear that Tara was not a very good friend to Beth when she talked behind Beth's back. Why did Tara start doing this? Was she not a nice person? Maybe not. There might be something else going on.
At last, Beth found out that Tara's problem came from jealousy(嫉妒), because Tara didn't have nice clothes or expensive things like Beth's.

There is a new shopping mall near my school. It is very easy to find. It is near the bus stop and the taxi rank. The mall is very big. There are five floors of shops and each floor is very big. There are lots of clothes shops. It is great for girls. However, there are not many shops for boys. There is only one sports shop. I think the mall needs some more. There are lots of restaurants on the top floor. You can eat different kinds of food from different countries. I like Chongqing Restaurant best. It has great food from Sichuan. I like the big cinema. I like watching a film before I go shopping. I do not like the computer games center. It is small and there are too many people. The mall is a fun place to go. It is a good place to meet friends.
