    What is the easiest way to stay warm in the super cold?. At least that is what Santa Claus told me.

    During Christmas, Dennis and I went to Finland. We brought back some tips for keeping warm in a cold temperature.

    ⒈There layers(层)work wonders.

    Start with the base layer, which sits right on your skin: choose something that can absorb sweatA sweater is a good choice. The most important layer is the outer clothes, which should be waterproof(防水的)and windproof.

    ⒉.

    You lose heat from every millimeter of uncovered skin, which was the biggest lesson I learned on this trip. My whole body was well covered. But I missed one sport: my face. So it often felt like the wind was going to blow my nose off.

    ⒊Exercise, don't just stand still.

    When it's cold, exercising may be the last thing you feel like doing, but be smart.and you will feel the difference. When we first got to Finland, we were freezing. But after a couple of minutes jumping around, we felt less cold.

    ⒋If you have a heater

    You may want to turn it all the way up, but it's best to keep it at between 18 and 20 degreesbut not create a huge difference between inside and outside.

A. Grow a crazy beard.

B. The key is what your layer is

C. Cover every bit of your skin

D. That will keep you comfortable

E. Take a walk, faster than your normal speed

F. Don't forget to keep your hands and feet warm, too

G. The middle layer keeps your body heat from getting away

    After entering high school, you must wonder how to study well. Here are some good skills for you.

    Go to class. If you want to do well at school, going to class is the first step in studying well. If you miss classes, you will miss what the teacher thinks is important; as a result, you'll miss what is the most likely to end up on the test.{#blank#}1{#/blank#}

    Take good notes. Try not to write down everything.{#blank#}2{#/blank#}Write down unfamiliar terms. After class, review your notes as soon as possible. You can fill in details that you missed and review the material while it is still fresh on your mind.{#blank#}3{#/blank#}If you are struggling in class, talk to your teacher. He or she may be able to give you more help before or after class. Most teachers have little sympathy(同情) for students who just become worried about failing during the last few weeks of the grading period.

    Take part in class discussions.{#blank#}4{#/blank#}Asking questions and having eye contact with your teachers and classmates can increase your participation(参与) and your focus during the class discussion. If the material is difficult, you'd better read it before class. This helps you make your point clear in class.

Form study groups. Get students together who want to do well in class. Make sure that everyone is familiar with the material because you do not want to spend time re-teaching material to people who do not understand it.{#blank#}5{#/blank#}Sometimes group sessions(上课时间) can become chatting sessions.

A. But be careful!

B. Don't be late for your class.

C. Talk to your teacher if you need help.

D. You should write down all the new terms.

E. So if you want to study well, go to every class.

F. All you need is to put down the main points in your own words.

G. In order to learn more in class, it is helpful to take part in class discussions.

    Every time you visit Disney World,there's something new to see. What began in 1971 as the Magic Kingdom now includes the hightech,moviemad Disney and Animal Kingdom. Each time the park expands,so do your chances to spend money. How can you save?As a family guide to Disney World,I've been to the park more than 25 times with my kids,and I've developed a few moneysaving plans.

    {#blank#}1{#/blank#}Even if you're visiting for fewer days,it's a deal(the pass costs$229 for visitors ages 10 and up,$183 for kids ages three to nine and is free for kids under age three).Without the pass,you'll have to pay separately for Pleasure Island and the water parks. A single trip to Blizzard Beach,for example,would cost a family of four $100.

    {#blank#}2{#/blank#}The prices at some of the nicer restaurants,especially those in Epcot's World Showcase,are much lower at noontime than at dinner. It's wise to make reservations before you leave home. Call 407WDISNEY.

    {#blank#}3{#/blank#}F or $65,you can get a Magic Kingdom Club Gold Card(call 180056DISNEY).Cardholders get up to 20 percent off Disney hotel rooms,plus price breaks on character breakfasts,theme park tickets and goods from Disney stores.

You can watch the Diamond Horseshoe show,for example,in the Magic Kingdom for no additional cost,while the similarly themed HoopDeeDoo Musical Revue requires expensive tickets.

    {#blank#}5{#/blank#}By then,the kids will really know what they want,and you won't waste money on expensive things.

    When your boss or professor sends you out to do man-on-the-street interviews for a story, think about the topic and develop a list of about ten general questions relating to it.     Hit the streets with confidence. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} Say, “Excuse me, I work for XYZ News, and I was wondering if you could share your opinion about this topic.” This is a quick way to get people to warm up to you.Move on to the next person if someone tells you she is not interested in talking on camera.Don't get discouraged.

    {#blank#}4{#/blank#}Each interview that you get on the street shouldn't be longer than ten minutes. As soon as you get the answer you need, move on to the next person. Tips for Procrastinators (拖延者)

    You manage to finish and hand the project in on time, but you feel exhausted. Then, your teacher says, "Get ready. We will start the test in 5 minutes." {#blank#}1{#/blank#}

    Many of us are guilty of delaying doing what we should do. At the same time, we might risk missing a deadline and not getting a good mark. It is also very stressful. Here are some tips for procrastinators on how to get your work done ahead of time.

    Create a to-do list. Creating a list will help organize your work and ideas while keeping you on track. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} Keep it up to date by checking off completed tasks as you go along. This will keep you focused and orderly.

    {#blank#}3{#/blank#} Chances are, you won't be able to get a lot of work done when you're tired. Finding a time of day when you are full of energy will get you to be more productive.

    Choose reliable study partners. Working with study partners will encourage you to complete the task at hand and ensure that you remain focused. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}

    Divide the work into smaller parts. Procrastination is often a reaction to feeling overwhelmed (无法对付的). Dividing work into smaller parts will make it easy to handle. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} You will find your ability and be more likely to finish what you need to do.

    Hopefully these tips will help you do away with the stressful, last-minute efforts of a procrastinator.

A. Work when you're feeling energetic.

B. Remind yourself to turn off all the devices.

C. You forgot that there's also an examination today.

D. Try to encourage yourself to stick to your work plan.

E. Deal with your tasks a bit at a time instead of wasting time wondering where to start.

F. Put the tasks that you feel less confident about or are likely to avoid on the top of the list.

G. You know that others are relying on you and they think that you deserve trust and are responsible.
