    Today almost everyone has a smart phone booths are out of date and seem to be useless. But cities like Shanghai are trying to bring the old phone booths to life.

    Shanghai will make changes to 263 phone booths in Xuhui District. The Library Booth is one of the six new kinds of booths, offering 60 booths for people to borrow and read. Another kind allows users to listen to audiobooks( 有声书)and even record their own voices.

    Shanghai is not the only city trying to save the old phone booths. London cares about them even more, because the red booths have long been a special scene in London since the 1930s when they were painted all red. In recent years London has come up with many ideas to help phone booths stay useful. The UK company British Telecom has added screens and free WiFi to some booths. Users can use them to surf online and search for maps and weather reports. The company also allows people to rent(租)some booths to change them as they want to. Since 2009, more than 1,500 phone booths have been turned into flower shops, mini-cafes, art museums and even shower rooms.

    In New York City, three phone booths in Time Square are turned into places for immigrant(移民) voices. When visitors pick up the phone, they can listen to oral(口述) histories of immigration from the newest New Yorkers. They can also open the books inside the booth to know more about the storytellers. Or they can share a part of their own stories if they wish.

    Brazil made phone booths works of art. Sao Paulo paired 100 artists with 100 phone booths. Some artists painted on the booths, others made them sculptures- one was shaped like a brain and another wore a pair of shoes.

    Phone booths are finding creative ways to live on. Will they succeed? Only time will tell.

    Lulu has been "talking" to her deceased(已故的) mother through her microblog for the past four years. Her act has moved millions of Chinese netizens. Xinhua reported last Tuesday.

    The girl from Shenyang posted the first message to her mother in June. 2012, just over a week after her mother passed away. "I will keep talking to you until I leave the world", Lulu wrote. Since then, she has kept updating her post almost every day, expressing how she misses her mother and also shares exciting or sad moments of her daily life.

    Lulu said it's her way to "keep in touch "with her mother, as she used to talk with her three to four times a day when she was alive.

    During the past four years, she has posted over 1, 200 messages and got 86, 583 followers so far. One internet user said, "Every tweet moves me to tears, and thank you for reminding more people to cherish(珍惜) each day we have with our mother. "Another said this was the most touching microblog ever.

    Lulu said she was pleased that her microblog made more people realize their filial(子女的) duties and she hopes young people could take more time to be with their parents.

    Once upon a time, there lived a generous and kind-hearted king. But, the people weren't happy with their king because he was too lazy and wouldn't do anything other than eating and sleeping. He spent days, weeks and months in his bed. The king became a couch potato and the people started to worry about him.

    One day, the king realized that he couldn't even move his body. He invited famous doctors from various parts of his country and offered them generous rewards to make him fit. Unfortunately, none could help the king gain his health or fitness.

    One morning, a man called Rishi visited the land of the king. He heard about the illness of the king and told one minister that he could easily cure the king. Hearing these promising words, the minister became very happy.

He realized the reason why Rishi asked him to reach his place by walking.

    Very soon, the king regained his health, and the people were very happy in his kingdom. The king had a lot of wealth, but no amount of wealth could make him healthy.
