In Thailand, people do not eat with chopsticks, like in China, Japan, and Korea. They use spoons and forks.{#blank#}1{#/blank#}Because most food is already cut. If you need to cut things use the side of your spoon.{#blank#}2{#/blank#} If you are right-handed, keep the spoon in your right hand and the fork in your left hand.

    {#blank#}3{#/blank#} The rice is not on the same plate with the other food. It is not necessary to finish all you rice or all your food. It is good to leave a little on your plate. If you eat anything, it means you want more.

    {#blank#}4{#/blank#}The host(主人)will ask you two or three times if you want more food . It is the same with whatever you are drinking. During the meal, never empty your cup or glass. When it is less than half full, your host or neighbor will fill it again.{#blank#}5{#/blank#} Always refill(再加满) your neighbor's glass. This means that you must keep an eye on your neighbor's glass all through the meal.

    There are four seasons in a year. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} My favourite season is winter.

    Many people think winter is a freezing season, but {#blank#}2{#/blank#}. I think winter is a beautiful season, especially when it snows. White snowflakes fly everywhere. The ground is covered in white and the snowflakes glisten in the sunshine.

    During winter, there are not only snowflakes, but also beautiful plum blossom. Plum blossoms in the cold winter. They represent a strong and unyielding spirit. I can learn from the plum blossoms and {#blank#}3{#/blank#}.

    Winter is also a season of reunion for Chinese people. People get together during Spring Festival. Whenever the Spring Festival comes, my parents and I will go back to our hometown. We will make many preparations for the Sprint; Festival. We often put couplets on the wall for good luck in the new year. On New Year's Eve, my family and I get together to have a big family dinner and {#blank#}4{#/blank#}. Finally, Spring Festival is not only a time for relaxation, but also a part of cultural traditions.

    In my opinion, winter has beautiful scenery that {#blank#}5{#/blank#}. It is the most beautiful season. I hope more people will like winter.

Future and Today

    It is well known that everyone has his own dream as well as his own future. But do you know what future really is? I have to say that future is now. That is to say we must treasure(珍惜)every minute now. If we want to have a bright future, we should know how important time is and use it well.

    There is an old English saying: "Gain time, gain life." Then what's time？ Time is something that we can't see or touch, but we can feel it passing by. Time is always with us. When we are at table, time passes; when we play, time goes by unnoticeable. We always say "Time is money", but time is even more precious(珍贵的)than money, because when money is spent , we can earn it back. But if time is gone away, it will never return. So, some of us even say time is priceless(无价的).

    We should always remember: future is now. For us students, we should try our best to work hard in order to create a great future of our own. We should make the best use of every hour and be the master of today. We should do everything before us as well as possible. And never put off what can be done today till tomorrow.

    As we all know, "Time and tide wait for no man." If you waste today, you will regret(后悔)tomorrow. So from now on, work hard. Tomorrow will be better, and your future will be brighter. Remember:" No pains, no gains." Today's hard work is the cause of tomorrow's harvest(收获).
