    Yesterday my friend Julia and me had lunch in the Pizza Hut behind our school. I knew Julia wasn't crazy about pizzas, but she came along just because me.     "Practice makes perfect" was an old saying.It tells us that it does not any matter if we are slow at doing something.As long as we keep on trying and practice,we'll do a good job at the end.The saying is especial useful in English study.Since a student is poor at speaking,he should catch every chance to open mouth and speak English.His oral English may be excellent one day as a result of his hard works.Not only is the saying useful in English study,but it is helpful in our daily life as well.To some degree,it is no easy way in doing everything since the key to succeed lies in "Practice makes perfect".

    To show our love for poor kids lived in earthquake-hit areas, our school hold a special activity the other day in our school lecture hall. Its purpose was to making sure those poor kids have a warm winter. All the teachers and students in our school took an actively part in this activity. We gave away 400 pieces of clothes and 200 pairs of shoe altogether. After be sorted, they will be sent to those in the need. I believe what they did will make a great difference to those poor kids.     I still remember how nervously I was on my first day in the new school ten years ago, when I found difficult to follow my teacher in the first English class. The teacher spoke English throughout the class, that was totally different from the lessons I had been taken before. In the morning class the next day, the English teacher came to me while I am reading the text like other student. After listen to me for a while, she gave me a big smile and said she liked her voice very much. The smile shone on the whole day and the following days, as the result of which I began to be confident. A week late, I volunteered to take charge of English study in my class and my English has been improved steadily.

    As is reported that 7 billionth baby was born in October 31^st, 2011. However, people don't seem to be happier about the news. The earth had become too crowed. People are suffering from various problems such as lack for resources, poverty, starvation and so on. Great damage has been causing to earth as human beings struggle for more living space.

    I am worried the future of our planet. I hope all the country cooperate and take measures to prevent the population from growing too fast. Besides, people should use natural resources more effective. After all, we have the only one earth.

    As a high school students, I like to talk with foreigners to practise my oral English but learn more about other cultures. There were two foreign teachers in our school in this term. They often go to the English corner so that we can have a chance to practise a language. I seize every chance to talk them. However, I sometime find they are not so interesting in what I say, and it's hard for I to choose a suitable topic.  I would like some advices about how to communicate proper with foreigners, and what topics to pick.
