Many people think if you turn off your TV, your life will be colorful. They also suggest children should watch less TV. TV can give children big problems. First, it's bad for your studies, you spend too long on TV. You can't do well in school. Second, it's bad for your health. Because you watch too much TV, you are getting overweight and your eyesight is getting worse. Third, it's bad for your family life. While your families are watching TV, they don't talk too much. Also it has too much fighting. Some children always follow the fighting in real life.

    Do you like Sun Wukong? He is one of the most popular novel characters in Chinese history. Not only young children but also adults love him so much. In our mind, he is a great hero in the Chinese novel Journey to the West.

    In the novel, Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie and Sha Seng beat demons(妖魔) and protect Tang Seng when they travel to the Western Paradise(西天). Sun Wukong was born from a stone. He can change himself into a tree, a bird, or and animal. With one somersault(筋斗), he can travel 108,000li.

    Sun Wukong is clever, brave and always makes fun magic tricks. Chinese people love him very much.

    Sun Wukong is also popular in other countries. Many western children love him and learn kung fu because of him. To them, he is a super hero, just like Superman and Spiderman.

    Sweden, a small country in northern Europe, takes up almost the same size as China's Gansu province. But it has earned the title of the country with best fame in the world recently. Sweden does really well on all the different factors(因素) we used to understand what people think of a country. The country is safe, beautiful, friendly and powerful in many aspects(方面)。

    Although it stayed as a neutral(中立的) country through world wars, Sweden is actually very strong in military(军事的) technologies. It was the first country to make stealthy warship that is hard to found by a radar(雷达). Countries like the US and China once bough Sweden's military technologies.

Moreover, Children can receive free education from kindergarten to university. This provides the country with many talented people.

    "I first saw Beijing Opera in London in 1993, and it just shocked me. It was really amazing," says Ghaffar Pounazar.

    The 32-year-old British gave up his work in London and came to a Beijing Opera school. Since then, Ghaffar Pourazar has worked hard on this art.

    On stage, the Beijing Opera actors not only act, they also sing and dance while performing some difficult movements(动作).       ①         When Pourazar first got to China. He couldn't speak any Chinese, and he knew nothing about Beijing Opera. As the oldest student in the Beijing Opera school, he learned more slowly than his classmates, but he didn't give up. "I used to get really angry at what was happening to Beijing Opera and at the Chinese people. This is part of your culture. Pourazar has decided what to do.        ②     Now he is performing a Beijing Opera that is about the Monkey King in two languages, Chinese and English. The Monkey King is a hero in a Chinese story. Chinese people love him very much. In the Beijing Opera, Pourazar acts the Monkey King.

    Daddy Long Legs

    This book is about the story of a young girl, Judy, who goes to university and gets lots of new experiences. This book always makes me think of my mother because she used to read it to me when I was ill in bed.

    I'm sure many of you know Harry Potter books! I have read them many times since primary school. I really get lost in the stories. These days I'm reading them again in Germany.

    The Railway Children

    这是我最喜爱的书之一It was a gift for my 13th birthday from my best friend, so it still strongly makes me think of my childhood. It is about three children and their adventures(冒险经历)next to a railway.

    Sam hated doing chores. And he had many chores. For example, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays he took out' the rubbish. And on weekends he always washed his father's car. He also cleaned his own room once a week. Sometimes he even had to (1) look after "his little sister and brother.

    Sam had a foreign friend at school. His name was Kumar. Doing chores in Kumar's family was very different. In the house only the girl did chores. They worked hard at home, doing all the chores with their mother. So when Kumar talked to his friend Sam about chores, he felt very lucky. One day, Sam had an idea. He asked Kumar, "Could I borrow your sisters?" He wanted them to help him clean his room, but (2) they said "no". Instead  (相反), they asked Sam to teach their brother how to do chores, so that he could make his own bed.

Sam and Kuimar are very good at science. They are going to be scientists after university. They want to make a robot to do the chores. Then everyone一mothers and fathers, sons and daughters- will be happy!
