It is really sad news for Guinness World Records. Tiffany Two, the holder of the  {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(old) cat record, has passed away in hersleep at{#blank#}2{#/blank#} age of 27 years, 2months and 20 days.

        Born on March 13, 1988 in San Diego, California,Tiffany Two {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(buy) by herowner, Sharon Voorhees, from a local pet shop. At that time, the cat was onlysix  {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(week) old. Sharon named her TiffanyTwo in memory of the cat she once{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(own) In the 1970s.

        In fact,{#blank#}6{#/blank#} Tiffany Two celebrated her 27^thbirthday back in March, she had lived the equivalent (等量) of 125 human years.

        Despite {#blank#}7{#/blank#} unbelievable age, Tiffany Two was reported tohave good sight and hearing {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (recent). Tiffany Two only had minor{#blank#}9{#/blank#} (ill) such as high blood pressure, and Sharondescribed her as “strong and still able to go up and down stairs”.

        “She's not afraid  {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (play) with anyone or any animal.She walks right past the dogs. She's very active!” Sharon explained.

    One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried loudly {#blank#}1{#/blank#}hours and the farmer tried to figure out {#blank#}2{#/blank#} to do. Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(cover) up anyway; it just wasn't worth the effort to get the donkey back.

    He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel（铲）and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(cry) horribly. Then, to everyone's {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(amaze), he quieted down. A few shovel loads {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(late), the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(hit) his back, the donkey was doing something surprising. He would shake {#blank#}8{#/blank#} off and take a step up.

    As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would do the same. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over {#blank#}9{#/blank#} edge of the well and {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(happy) ran off!

    Each of our troubles is a stepping stone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not giving up! Shake it off and take a step up.

    Yesterday, another student and I, representing our university's student {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(associate), went to the Capital International Airport to meet this year's international students {#blank#}2{#/blank#} were coming to study at Beijing University. After half an hour of waiting for their flight to arrive, I saw several young people enter the {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(wait) area looking around curiously. I stood for a minute {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(watch) them and then went to greet them.

    The first person {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(arrive) was Tony Garcia from Colombia, closely {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(follow) by Julia Smith from Britain. After I met them and then introduced them to each other, I was very surprised. Tony approached Julia, touched her shoulder and kissed her {#blank#}7{#/blank#} the cheek! She stepped back appearing surprised and put up her hands, as if in defence. I guessed that there was {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(probable) a major misunderstanding. Then Akira Nagata from Japan came in smiling, together with George Cook from Canada. As they {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(introduce), George reached his hand out to the Japanese student. Just at that moment, however, Akira bowed so his nose touched George's moving hand. They both apologized – another {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(culture) mistake!

    Adam, a freshman of senior high school, thought going to senior high school was really {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (challenge). The first week made him a little {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (confuse). Different from junior middle school, he had to choose {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (suit) courses. He chose Chinese, hoping to speak it {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (fluent) when he graduated. His adviser also suggested that he sign {#blank#}5{#/blank#}  for advanced literature.

    Besides, he tried to join the football team, {#blank#}6{#/blank#} he failed. {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (obvious), he had to find a way to improve on his own to try next year. In a word, he wanted to be a person with a strong sense of {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (responsible). Though he was worried about {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (keep) up with other students, he was sure he {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (will) be well prepared for future life.
