Maxime and Lise are a young French couple. They are ready to travel across China from Beijing to Yunnan Province on a tandem bicycle (双人自行车). They have two main purposes and one of them is that they want to encourage green 1 through it.

    Maxime, 26, works helping farmers raise their cows, 2his wife Lise, 26, is a teacher. The two also like sharing their travel stores on Facebook.

    We chose a tandem bicycle because it makes it 3 to communicate with each other about interesting people and things we come across during the journey. 4, bicycling is healthier. And it's a cheaper and more environment-friendly way of traveling than 5 cars, motors and so on, “the couple said.

    As for the other 6of their journey, the two said they wanted to get people's good ideas on topics such as health, econnmy (经济) and politics. When they were asked 7they chose to visit China, they said it was because they often talked about its long history and beauty and how much of the country is competitive (有竞争力的) in the world.

    We know China is a country with a large population and will be the 8 of the economy around the world in the future. We want to get a better understanding of the country and its people. We 9the country,” they said.

    The couple will be on the journey to China soon. We hope they can make more people further 10 China by shairing what they see and hear on the way. Meanwhile. We hope they enjoy their travel in China.

    Xiao Qiang, a 12-year-old Chinese boy, has too many activities. His father 1 him away from school four afternoons a week and drives him across town to practice. " I do most of my 2 in the car when we are 3 to practice, and I have to do the rest(剩余的) when I get home. I am too tired, and I just want to sleep." he said.

    "More and more kids aren't 4 because(因为)they have too many activities to do," said Mr Wang, an expert(专家)of Children Development, "41% of the children aged 9-13 said they felt 5 most of the time, and more than 75% of them said that they wished they had more 6 to play."

    "Over-scheduling(过量的课程安排)is a growing problem for Chinese families," said Mr Wang. It is not good for both kids and their parents. We all know it is important for kids to learn how to relax(放松).If they don't learn that now, it will be more difficult to learn when they get 9 . Kids need time to relax.     It was Monday. Mrs. Smith's dog was hungry, but there was not any 1 in the house. Mrs. Smith took a piece of paper and wrote on it, "Please 2  my dog half a pound (磅) of meat." Then she gave the paper to 3 dog and said, "Take this to the butcher (肉贩), and he'll give you what you want."

    The dog came again at four o' clock. And the same thing 8 once again. It came for the third time at six o' clock. The butcher felt a little surprised. He said, "This is a small dog. 9 does Mrs. Smith give it so much meat to eat today?"

    Vivian Maier was an American street photographer born in New York City. Although born in the U.S., it was in France that Maier 1 most of her youth. Maier returned to the U.S. in 1951 where she worked 2 a nanny for over 40 years. A nanny is a person who takes care of young children in the children's own home.

    A nanny's job is not easy. In her free time,3Vivian begun to try the art of photography. She spent her days off walking along the4 of Chicago and taking photographs. Vivian would take photos that she5 from the eyes of others secretly. Most people did not know they were taken in the pictures. She took over 150,000 photographs during her lifetime6 of the people and buildings of Chicago, New York City, and Los Angeles, although she also travelled and photographed worldwide.

    During her lifetime, Vivian's photographs were unknown and unpublished. Many of her photos were never printed because of 7. She never got married. She had no children either. She lived a 8 life and became even poorer in her old age.

    A Chicago collector, John Maloof, happened to find some of Vivian's photos at the market. He decided to 9 Vivian's photographs on the website. Thousands of people showed their great 10 in them. Vivian's works have become famous around the world since then.

    From Monday to Friday students usually get up at seven. Then they wash their faces and have breakfast. They usually have eggs, bacon(熏肉), bread, fruit and a glass of milk. After breakfast they go to school on foot or by yellow school 1. Some students ride bikes. They get to school at about half past eight.     Students usually play or watch TV before9. They have supper at six in the evening. The supper usually has soup, meat, 10, rice or pasta(面食). After supper they do their homework. Sometimes they play or talk with their parents.
