To this day, Kevin Hart still recalls the exact moment he learned this lifelong lesson{#blank#}1{#/blank#} he says came about one afternoon while he was under the care of his after-school babysitter,{#blank#}2{#/blank#} kind, grandmotherly woman named Miss Davis.

    {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (typical), Han helped Miss Davis with housework after school. One day, however, Han skipped the housework and joined some friends {#blank#}4{#/blank#} a “game” of throwing rocks at passing cars.

    As it went, one of the {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (stone) Hart threw broke a car window. On seeing this, Hart and his friends{#blank#}6{#/blank#} (flee) from the scene. The car stopped and the driver stepped out to find who did it. Eventually, his friends all pointed to Hart. “They threw me under the bus so fast!” he says.

News of the incident quickly made {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (it) way to Miss Davis.

    He spent the rest of the day in panic, fearing what {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (happen) when Davis told his mother.

    Yet, Miss Davis never told. Her act gave Hart an important lesson about trust. “You've got to give trust{#blank#}9{#/blank#} (get) trust,” he says. He was so{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(thank) that he never got into trouble as a teenager from then on, all because of Miss Davis.

    I love natural science, which came from my curiosity in nature. From {#blank#}1{#/blank#} early ago, I caught frogs and insects in the nearby woods. I explored the cool streams {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (run) through the woods and searched for fish living in the water.

    As I grew up, my interests expands around subjects in school, particularly {#blank#}3{#/blank#} biology, chemistry and physics in high school. These interests were increased with more time {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (spend) in the deserts of Arizona. The desert was not totally new to me, since I {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (visit) relatives in Phoenix several times before moving there. However, exploring the desert on my own was new. I checked under every rock and bush looking for {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (sign) of life. I found many incredible animals. Once I happened to discover {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (poison) snakes under a rock. I was very sacred. However, I {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (eventual) grew to be cautious of them and now snakes are my favorite study subject.

    I am now an ecologist. I have done research in deserts, forests, streams and lakes. Finding new species still {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (excite) me. I am glad to have a strong inquisitiveness (求知欲) in the natural world. My hobby and curiosity make me {#blank#}10{#/blank#} I am now.

    I won't call myself the most accomplished person when it comes to {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (hold) chopsticks. In fact, I'm pretty sure that my technique looks clumsy at times. I tend to hold {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (I) in the middle, more beginner than expert.

    Still, since I eat almost every meal with the eating utensil(器皿)of choice in China it's not uncommon for a new friend or acquaintance to come to a simple {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (conclude) after observing me that my Chinese husband, Jun, must {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (show) me how to use them.

    They are wrong. I've used chopsticks ever since I was a teenager, a time when my sister and mother were both fond of Chinese cuisine and introduced me {#blank#}5{#/blank#} many new dishes, along with the {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (prefer) utensils in China. We always kept bamboo chopsticks along with our {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (knife), forks and spoons, ready for whenever we happened to have Chinese food for dinner. It was my closest family {#blank#}8{#/blank#} observed my first mistakes I made in using chopsticks.

    Plus, I lived over two years in China before Jun and I started dating and I {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (expect) to use chopsticks in almost every restaurant, stand and bar. Trust me, when you're hungry you figure out pretty fast what it takes to down(咽下) {#blank#}10{#/blank#} meal with these utensils.

    Some theme parks are not only amusing but also educational. Take the Polynesian Cultural Center (PCC) in Hawaii for example. It not only shows visitors the Polynesian way of life but also protects their skills{#blank#}1{#/blank#}culture for the future. Polynesian is the name{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(give) to the many groups of small islands that are spread about the Pacific Ocean.

    The PCC{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(set) in 42 acres of beautiful countryside{#blank#}4{#/blank#}visitors can see seven different traditional Polynesian island villages. Villagers from many island communities come{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(show) visitors their styles of dress and different customs. For example, you can see{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(difference) skills of the villagers. You can learn{#blank#}7{#/blank#}they make clothes from bark(树皮) and how they climb very tall trees {#blank#}8{#/blank#}their bare feet or see{#blank#}9{#/blank#}kind of wedding ceremonies they have. They also tell you about their{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(society) customs and show you their cooking methods and their dances.

    On the first day of my first grade, I stood by the door with butterflies in my stomach. I {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (voice) my biggest concern to my mother. "How will I make friends?" She handed me advice. "Be yourself." For the past 20 years. I have lived by these words. Soon I will graduate and become part of the real world. Nervously {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (face) challenges. I know I will whisper to {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (I) the two simple words "Be yourself".

    She looks like any other schoolgirl, fresh-faced and full of life. Sarah Thomas is looking forward to the challenge of her new A-level course. But unlike her school friends, 16-year-old Sarah is not spending half-term rest. Instead, she is earning £6500 a day as {#blank#}1{#/blank#}model in New York.

It is certainly fun that the lifestyle is a little{#blank#}10{#/blank#} (real). I don't want to have nothing else to fall back on when I can't model any more."
