Mr Hu is an English teacher in China. He loves teaching very much. One day when he is giving an English lesson, he finds the headmaster(校长)sitting at the back of the classroom. After class, the headmaster tells him that he comes to his class to find out how much English and how much Chinese he is using. The result is about half English and half Chinese. The headmaster tells him that he should use more English in his class. Mr Hu makes a plan like this: Talk with an Englishman every Sunday for two hours to learn more English expressions(习语);Write some English expressions on cards; Have a five-minute talk in English with students before class; Speak more English in English classes.

    One year later, he finds he can use English freely.

    Basketball players are usually very tall. Because they need to put the ball into the basket. Other sports players may be shorter than them.

    Short people often have better balance (平衡) than tall people, so they don't fall  over very often. In some sports， the players must have good balance, for example, table tennis, they don't need to have long legs to run fast! Some of the fast runners in the world are not very tall.  Some people are tall and some are short. The tallest man in the world is 2.41 meters tall. Today young people in many countries grow taller than their parents.This is because they eat better than their parents. Good food can help children grow.

    A traveler in South Africa once set out on a long journey. When crossing a wide plain(平原), far from home, he saw a lion at a distance.{#blank#}1{#/blank#}, and followed him slowly.

    When the traveler walked fast, the lion walked fast! When he stopped, the lion stopped! {#blank#}2{#/blank#}, and then attack(攻击)him.

    He was not able to run away from the lion because the lion ran faster than him. So he thought of a plan to fool it.

    He came to a large rock. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}, where the lion could not see him. Then taking a stick which he could found there, he put his coat and his hat on it, in order to make them look like a man. He then placed the stick with the coat and the hat standing in the ground above the rock. He then left quietly.

    The lion stopped and watched the coat and the hat, at a distance. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}.

    But the traveler was already far away. Before long, he reached his own home.

    I'm Sally, I'm a student in No.14 Middle School. This is my family tree. You can see it is a big family. My father is Jonathan, my mother is Claire. They have three children.     When I was young, my family lived a hard life in the country.     Why do people cry? Scientists say the body produces tears because they need them. One kind of tears is for the eye, the other is for the heart. They both work as cleaners If something else like dust(灰尘) gets into your eye, tears also come into the eye to clean it out. If you are hurt by something, your strong feelings produce some poisonous chemicals(毒素) in your body, and at the same time, tears come out with them. If these poisonous chemicals are not cleaned out of your body as soon as possible, they will do harm to the heart sooner or later.

    In the United States men have heart problems more often than women do. Doctors say heart problems have something to do with the pressures(压力) of living and working now. Perhaps men suffer more from these illnesses because they do not cry enough. They need to cry more.

    In fact, you can find many ways of reducing the pressures to keep fit. Crying is natural and physical one.
