Mike lived in a small village near New York two years ago. He had a big brown dog. He liked the dog very much because once it saved a boy.

    One day, his dog stood next to an old well(井)." It stayed there for about half an hour," Bow-wow-wow," barked the dog. It barked and barked. Mike heard it and ran over to the well." Why do you stay here, my dear?" Mike asked. "And why are you barking?" The dog looked at him and looked at the well. "Bow-wow- wow ,”he barked even louder. Mike asked his friend Jim for help." Come here, Jim," he said." The dog wants to tell us something.”

    They looked down in to the well .They saw a. boy there. The boy couldn't speak. He was too scared(惊恐)。Mike went to get a rope( 绳)at once. He climbed down to save the boy with the help of the rope. The dog was really clever.

    Susan had long blonde hair and big blue eyes. So did most of the other1in her school class, which troubled her a lot. "I look like everyone else! I'm not special! I'm boring!" Susan2to her mother.

    She decided to try to make herself look3. She painted big pink spots on her neck and when she didn't get attention, she stuck a long plastic nose on top of her real nose. Nobody noticed that4. She took ink and poured it all over her5. She wore clown (小丑) clothes to school and stuck leaves in her ears.6no matter what she did, she still didn't get any7and nobody thought she was special.

Some people have blonde hair like you and some have blue eyes like you, but none of them has your smile or the twinkle in your eyes or your pink face. Nobody laughs like you either. Susan went to school that day and looked at all the other kids in her class. "Mum was14. Nobody looks just like me," Susan smiled. "I am special. I am unique and I am not15."

    I have always had a love for traveling abroad. Last year, I took a trip to London alone. Those nights，I stayed in a youth hostel（青年旅社）. For me，hostels are places where I can meet and talk to different people. It is great fun for me. During the stay in the hostel, I met two girls, one from Brazil and the other from Slovakia. We three had very happy talks together. We shared our personal travel stories and the interesting people we met with one another. The girl from Brazil was actually a lawyer（律师）. 她帮助人们解决他们的家庭问题。 She was taking a trip to Europe all by herself. The girl from Slovakia had much interest in photography（摄影）. Because I was also a photography fan, we ended up talking all night and sharing experience in using a camera.

    The best part is that they both became close friends of mine. Even now, sometimes we still talk with each other online. Last month, I got some photos from the Brazilian girl. To my surprise, she had a baby daughter and they were laughing happily in the photos. I was so happy for her. And it's such a great thing to know that there are people remembering you from far away. Though you may just meet each other for a few hours, you have someone caring about you in the other side of the world. And I think that is the most amazing part of traveling. So if you have free time, maybe you can try to travel abroad to relax yourself as I do.

Several years ago, when I was teaching at a middle school, a girl sent me a message. She found someone write a very1message on her locker. She made a picture of it and then sent it to me asking for2.

A few hours later, I noticed that on her Instagram she had posted that picture and asked if anyone3who did that.

Well, the following day, the girl came to me with a boy. She showed me a4she had received. It was a heartfelt apology. I asked her if she knew who had done it, and the boy replied embarrassedly(尴尬地), "It was me. I don't know why I did it, but I know it was5. So I wrote her this note. I6wanted to do something to try to make up for my meanness."

My heart felt so full of7for this boy. I told him how8he was to come forward and how amazing it was that he did something9to correct his mistake. I10the girl and asked her if she could forgive him. Without hesitation, she said, "Yes."

I think middle school students are not little children any more, and not grown-ups yet. It is normal that they make mistakes. Every day I remind myself that although I am an educator, my students truly love me.

In the afternoon, the weather turned fine, {#blank#}3{#/blank#} I wanted to take some photos. Without thinking, I took a picture of the little girl at that moment.

Her mother was surprised that a {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (strange) was photographing her daughter. I explained that I {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (move) by that sight and showed them {#blank#}9{#/blank#} photo on my digital camera. They loved it very much. I said I could email it to them when I got home. Finally, they gave me their email address. The next day, I sent them their {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (daughter) photo as I had promised.

This morning I received a message back saying they are grateful and that they are very happy with the lovely photo of their daughter and a lovely memory of the day.
