French artist Dufresne has turned to Chinese characters to explore art.

    His ongoing show at Yishu 8, a nonprofit and art space in Beijing, has installations (装置) on which some characters{#blank#}1{#/blank#} (paint) and visitors can play word games by moving them around to make new characters. Each Chinese character has different parts. Separating or {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (combine) these parts creates new things. For example ,the character of lin (forest), when put on the top of xi (dusk) becomes meng (dream).

    He {#blank#}3{#/blank#} ( produce) them by first asking Chinese people he met in the streets, at parks and tourist spots,{#blank#}4{#/blank#}(write) different characters with ink brushes on paper, and then painted them onto large wooden boards, trying to make the characters look {#blank#}5{#/blank#} close to their original handwritten forms as possible.

    “Each character{#blank#}6{#/blank#} (vivid) reminds me of the person who wrote it. To me, the writer and the character seem to share the same personality,” says Dufresne. He sees the characters as the human body in motion. An ancient character {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (photograph) by himself at a Chinese museum appears to him like “a person walking”.

    Christine Cayol,{#blank#}8{#/blank#} is the founder of Yishu 8, says the young artist has provided “poetic viewpoint” his work by trying to create a {#blank#}9{#/blank#} ( connect) between Chinese characters {#blank#}10{#/blank#} the human body.

    Recently, the people of Switzerland began telling stories about a {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (mystery)figure who walked through the Maules Forest {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (wear)camouflage (伪装)and a gas mask. A few months later, his gas mask and camouflage coat appeared in the woods,{#blank#}8{#/blank#}a strange note hinting that he was harmless and could no longer stand {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(view)as some kind of monster. Whether Le Loyon actually committed suicide or simply abandoned his persona and wandering habits{#blank#}10{#/blank#} (remain) unknown. These are some of the most bizarre unsolved mysteries of all time.

    A couple who sold all of their {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(possess) have been left with nothing after their boat sank just two days into their journey. Tony and Mary began their adventure on {#blank#}2{#/blank#} sailboat last week, setting off from the marina in Tarpon Springs.

    The 7th CISM Military World Games(世界军运会)will take place from Oct. 18 {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Oct. 27，2019 in Wuhan, capital city of {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(centre)China's Hubei Province.

    The games，the top sports gala for military personnel(军人), include 329 competition events of 27 kinds , {#blank#}3{#/blank#} are expected to attract around 8000 players from more than 100 {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (country)and regions.

    The games will be an international event with great importance and far-reaching influence and it will also be {#blank#}5{#/blank#} opportunity for foreign military personnel {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(learn) more about China and its military.

    The event's emblem(会徽)is made up of a dove, a star, ribbons and other elements and the mascot is called Bing Bing, {#blank#}7{#/blank#} design is based on the Chinese sturgeon(鲟), a {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (serious)endangered fish known as the "panda in water". The slogan is "Military glory，world peace".

    The games, which {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (hold)in Rome in 1995 for the first time, are a multi-sport event {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (organize)every four years by the CISM.
