She pushed her way to the driver and took the suitcase thankfully. Five others on the bus began talking about what the boy had done and the crowd of strangers {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(sudden) became friendly to one another.

    Reggie was a normal boy, but he had been born deaf. He was well known to everyone in town, and they were all very fond of him. Unfortunately, he always seemed to be treated {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (different) from everyone else.

    Reggie didn't like this very much. But the person {#blank#}2{#/blank#} disliked this most was his friend Michael. Michael decided that things had to change. So he managed to persuade other people in town {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (choose) one day of the festival for deaf people this year. During that whole day everyone in town would have to wear earplugs( 耳塞). The day {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (call) The Day of Silence, and when it arrived everyone stuck plugs in their ears.     When someone has deeply hurt you, it can be very difficult to let go of your anger. But forgiveness is possible ­ and it can be surprisingly {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (benefit) to your physical and mental health. So far, research {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(show) that people who forgive can have more energy, better appetite and better sleep. "People who forgive show {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(little) anger and more hopefulness," says Dr. Fre deric Luskin, who wrote the book Forgive for Good. So it can help reduce the tiredness out of the immune system and allow people {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(feel) more energetic."

    So when someone has hurt you, cool down first. Take a couple of breaths and think of something {#blank#}5{#/blank#}gives you pleasure: a beautiful scene in nature, or someone you love. Don't wait for an {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (apologize). "Many times the person who hurt you may never think of apologizing," says Dr. Luskin. "They may have wanted to hurt you or they just don't see things in {#blank#}7{#/blank#}same way. So if you wait for people to say sorry, you could be waiting a very long time."

    Next keep in mind that forgiveness does not necessarily mean {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(accept) the action of the person who upsets you. Instead, learn to look for the love, beauty and kindness around you. Finally, try to see things from the other person's perspective. You may realize that he {#blank#}9{#/blank#}she was acting out of ignorance. To gain perspective, you may want to write a letter to {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(you) from that person's point of view.
