Switzerland is famous{#blank#}1{#/blank#}its watches. However, this country didn't invent the watch. It was the British who did it. Here is a story of how the watch{#blank#}2{#/blank#} (bring) to Switzerland.

    Many years ago,{#blank#}3{#/blank#} Englishman traveled to Italy and on his way he stopped in a small town{#blank#}4{#/blank#}(call) Geneva in Switzerland. And he made a watch of exactly the same type.

    Brownie and Spotty were neighbor dogs who met every day to play together. They did it so often {#blank#}1{#/blank#} they had worn a path through the grass of the field between their houses.

    {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (luck), one evening, Brownie didn't return home. His family went looking for him but with no {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (succeed).     The ratio of overweight people {#blank#}1{#/blank#} participated in a survey increased from 29% in 2012 to 31.5% in 2016, and {#blank#}2{#/blank#} number of highly overweight people {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (rise) to 550,000, creating a serious headache for {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (medicine) services. The increase of highly overweight people was {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (particular) sharp among those in their 20s. Besides, drinking soft drinks is also to blame because it makes people more likely {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (gain) weight.

    The result may affect the new lifestyle of those people. Cutting down on salt can be hard, {#blank#}10{#/blank#} repeated training to prefer less salty food is necessary. Start by adding half as much salt to your dinner as you normally do.

    According to a study published in the journal Nature Sustainability in February, China and India are{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(main) responsible for making the Earth greener over the past two decades. Since 2000, the Earth's green leaf area{#blank#}2{#/blank#} (increase) by 5 percent, or over 5 million square kilometers. That's{#blank#}3{#/blank#}area equal to the total area of the Amazon rainforest.     Over the past few decades, China has made great efforts to green the land. In 1978, China {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(begin) a national-level forestation project-the Three North Shelterbelt Forest Program, also{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(know) as the “Great Green Wall”. The program has seen many trees planted in northern China to act as windbreaks (防风林). By the end of 2017, the forest coverage rate had reached 13.57 percent, compared to 5.05 percent 40 years ago.

    In the light of China's{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(succeed) in greening the desert, the UN believes the country is a good example for others{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(follow) and has lessons to share with the world.

    Robot teachers are now very popular with pupils in some primary schools in South Korea. Compared with human teachers, the robot teachers are {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (patient). They never get angry and are always kind to the students. That's {#blank#}2{#/blank#} the children can always get on well with their robot teachers.

    English-teaching robots {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (send) to three primary schools for eight weeks last December. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (equip) with a microphone and video camera, the robots teach students as teachers.
