I'd like to talk about the school system in Australia today. The school system in Australia does depend on {#blank#}1{#/blank#} you go to a private school or a public school. In the state I'm from, there are a lot of private schools, and generally they are single-sex high schools. The public high schools are generally {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (mix). All of the private high schools insist that you should wear their school uniforms, {#blank#}3{#/blank#} that might mean{#blank#}4{#/blank#} (wear) a school tie and a school jacket. However, the public high schools often give you a {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (choose) of whether you want to wear a uniform or not. The school classes generally start anywhere{#blank#}6{#/blank#} 8:30 and 9 o'clock in the morning and run {#blank#}7{#/blank#} 3:30 in the afternoon, and they're followed by after-school {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (active) like sports and music theater. The school year generally starts in the{#blank#}9{#/blank#} (begin) on February, after our summer vacation, which lasts about six weeks around the Christmas period.

    The only thing I don't like about our school system is the idea of the difference in quality of education between the private and the public schools. It remains{#blank#}10{#/blank#} (see) whether you can get a better education, even if you are in a private high school. Most of our public high schools are quite good.

    I was nine years old when I learnt to ride a bike. The bike was a birthday present from my uncle. You can imagine how{#blank#}1{#/blank#} (excite) I was when I saw the bike, and I begged my uncle to teach me how {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (ride) it right away. However, before I got on the bike, I felt {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (extreme)  nervous and l  was  afraid  that l  would  fall  off and hurt {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (me).My uncle held onto the seat and helped me to get {#blank#}5{#/blank#} the bike. While l was riding, he was running along beside me, holding the seat so I would not fall over. I was so{#blank#}6{#/blank#} (grate) to him for his help.

    As I was practicing, I became more and more confident. Then, I heard my uncle shouting, "You are riding it by yourself now!" I was both excited and scared. I was really riding by myself, but{#blank#}7{#/blank#} if I fell off? Could I use the brakes to stop? As I was wondering about this, my uncle ran after me and got hold of the bike. I{#blank#}8{#/blank#} (slow) down and came to a stop. My heart was still beating fast when I got off the bike. {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (late) that day, having learnt how to get on the bike and get off it, I felt like l was walking on air! I am still thankful to my uncle for teaching me to ride a bike on my {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (nine) birthday.

    What's the dangerous level? Well, it {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(depend) on how long you are going to listen to the noise. Very, very loud sounds can be dangerous to your hearing. But the scary {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(true) is that even seemingly “normal” noise can be dangerous {#blank#}9{#/blank#}you listen to it all the time.

    Think for a minute about how long you spend {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (listen) to loud noise with headphones every day. Then do some research. There are resources online telling you what volumes are safe, and for how long.

Wu Jiang then keeps the bar's customers as hostages (人质) and asks for the freedom of Fu, a {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (crime) captured by Zhong years ago.

    Jackie Chan said that {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (physical), he had a hard time with the film because he did the fight scenes with real mixed martial arts fighters. "The fights were with genuine MMA (mixed martial arts) boxers, not stunt (替身) men," Jackie Chan revealed (透露).     A 23-year-old British woman has invented a product made {#blank#}1{#/blank#} combining fishing waste and algae(海藻).It could be used to replace plastic bags, {#blank#}2{#/blank#} people use once and throw away. Lucy Hughes created the material, called MarinaTex. On November 13, Hughes {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (award) the international winner of the 2019 James Dyson Award for design.

    MarinaTex is stronger, {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (safe) and much more sustainable than the plastic polyethylene(聚 乙烯).But unlike plastic, MarinaTex is also easier {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (break) down in four to six weeks in normal conditions and does not pollute the soil. Concerned about the growing amounts of plastics in ocean waters, she is investigating ways to reduce the amount of waste from the fishing industry, which produces {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(approximate) 50 million tons of waste worldwide each year.
