One day, I took my daughter to the park. As soon as we got there, my daughter {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(run) to the swing（秋千）and asked for a push. When I was helping my daughter, I noticed another girl trying to make her own swing{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(go) high by herself. Her old grandmother was sitting on the chair nearby and smiling at us. Happily, my daughter {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(push) higher and higher by me.

    Then I walked towards the little girl. I asked {#blank#}4{#/blank#} I could give a big push to her. She smiled and said “Yes”. For the next hour, I pushed the swings, and played {#blank#}5{#/blank#} my daughter and the little girl. When we went home, I was tired {#blank#}6{#/blank#} very happy.

    One day two years{#blank#}7{#/blank#}(late), after a day's work, I went to pick up my daughter before going home. While I was waiting outside the school gate, a little girl smiled {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(sweet) at me and gave me a big hug. As I watched her run away, I realized that she was the girl whom I gave a big push in the park.

    So far, I couldn't forget her sweet smile and the warm hug that she gave me. In fact, if we give love to others, love will find its way back to us. It may travel {#blank#}9{#/blank#} heart to heart or it may blossom（开花）in the heart. The love we share, the {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(kind) we give, and the happiness we create will come back to us with a pleasant surprise.

    In the 17th century, dentists did their best {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (make) false teeth. The problem, however, was not making the teeth, {#blank#}2{#/blank#} was keeping them in place. They had to tie each tooth to the one on either side of it. Only rich people could afford false teeth, {#blank#}3{#/blank#} were usually made of gold or silver. As more and more people wanted new teeth, poor people {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (sell) their teeth to the rich so that they could buy food and clothing. During the next 200 years, many changes were made to false teeth although some of these were not really improvements. Towards the end of the 19th century, for example, cheap elastic teeth were introduced. But they caught fire very {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (easy), and a number of men were badly burned when their teeth caught fire while they were smoking {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (cigarette). Nowadays, false teeth {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (be) so well made and look so real that it is often {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (possible) to tell from a person's appearance whether or not they have them. And in {#blank#}9{#/blank#} near future, very few people will have them by {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (add) certain things to the water we drink, we have been able to keep our teeth so healthy that most people will never need false teeth.

Invisible People

If you have the time, check out an amazing YouTube channel that I recently found {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (call) "invisible people". It's a channel with {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (hundred) of interviews of homeless people {#blank#}3{#/blank#} share their story and how they survive day to day.

The man who operates the channel {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(be) formerly homeless and has devoted his life to helping {#blank#}5{#/blank#} homeless, The name "invisible people" certainly suits the channel well. For indeed there are so many "invisible" beings who are suffering every day, both humans and animals, and yet our {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (social) either pays little for people to {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (cruel) treat and kill animals, or completely {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (ignore) those who are in desperate need.

Occasionally, someone who watches the videos posted on that channel is near one of the people interviewed and is able {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (help) in some way. Some of the videos are truly heart-breaking but it's important to see what people go through. We can't turn a blind eye or treat them as if they're invisible. We cannot behave as it's been said, "Worship a homeless man on Sunday, and then ignore a homeless man {#blank#}10{#/blank#} Monday."
