Chinese are the first people to have tea. One thousand and two hundred years ago, Lu Yu wrote a book called "The Classic of Tea",  {#blank#}1{#/blank#} is honored as "The Bible of Tea". The book gives a detailed {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (explain) of the origin, the processing skills and the classification of tea.

    However, Chinese tea culture goes far beyond tea {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (it). Take green tea for instance, the ideal temperature of the water should be around 80℃. If the water is too hot, nutrients（营养）in the tea {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (destroy). On the other hand, if the water is not hot enough, the tea {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (leaf) won't open up and you will miss the pleasantly fresh flavor. So Chinese people are accustomed {#blank#}6{#/blank#} drinking hot tea. When you visit a Chinese friend, your friend will {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (constant) add hot water to your emptying cup of tea. It is polite {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (offer) the tea cup to guests with both hands. Of course, the guests should pay respect as well {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (take) over the cup with both hands.

    Talking about adding water to the tea cup, there is {#blank#}10{#/blank#} saying: wine full, full cup. Tea half, half cup. For wine, full cup symbolizes whole heartiness. For tea, half, it means modesty.

MY Travel Experience in China

    During the summer holidays I visited a variety of regions in China.

My first stop was Beijing and of course the Great Wall. Without question it lived up to my {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (expect).

    After a long journey, I reached Yunnan. With{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(it) minority villages and impressive landscapes, Yunnan had a lot to offer. One of my {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (enjoy) moments in Yunnan was during my visit to The Tiger Leaping Gorge. The climb over the gorge was at times exhausting {#blank#}4{#/blank#} always breathtaking. The views couldn't {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (imagine) in their beauty and they {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (leave) me with many great memories.

    After taking a boat from the mainland I arrived at {#blank#}7{#/blank#} island province of Hainan. There I visited Baihua Waterfall. Floating on a pool of water at the base and looking up at the waterfall with a background of blue sky was one of the most {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (relax) experiences of my life.

    Throughout China there are many ancient buildings and in particular ancient towns. Lijiang and Dali both have glorious {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (example) of this. It was remarkable to step back in time and get an idea of{#blank#}10{#/blank#} China might have looked like all those years ago. I thought the buildings were beautiful and full of history.

    I had a wonderful time! China is both fascinating and beautiful!

    A man and his friend were walking through the desert. During the trip they had a quarrel and the man hit his friend in {#blank#}1{#/blank#} face. His friend was hurt, but {#blank#}2{#/blank#} saying anything, he wrote in the sand, “Today my best friend hit me in the face.”

They kept on {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(walk) until they found a lake, where they decided {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (take) a bath. The man's friend fell into the lake and was in a {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(danger) situation, but the man saved him{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(immediate). After he came back to life, he wrote on a{#blank#}7{#/blank#}:“Today my best friend saved my life."

    The man {#blank#}8{#/blank#}had hit and saved his best friend asked, “When I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you wrote on a stone. Why?” His friend {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (reply), “ When someone hurts us, we should write it down in sand where wind can blow it away. However, when someone does something good for {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(we), we must write it down in stone where it can last for ever.”

    The Great Wall of China{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(list) in the World Cultural Heritage(世界文化遗产) by UNESCO in 1987. Just{#blank#}2{#/blank#} a huge dragon, it winds up and down across deserts grasslands and mountains, covering{#blank#}3{#/blank#} (approximate)6, 700 kilometers from the east to the west of China.

    In ancient China, many people built walls around their states to protect their land. It was Emperor Qing Shihuang who had the walls{#blank#}4{#/blank#}(join) up. The project cost much money and hundreds of thousands of people worked on{#blank#}5{#/blank#} wall. On top of it, it is wide enough for five horses or ten men{#blank#}6{#/blank#} (walk) side by side. Along the wall are watchtowers, {#blank#}7{#/blank#}soldiers used to keep watch. With a history of more than 2000 years, some of the sections of the Great Wall are now in ruins or even disappeared. However, it is still one of the most{#blank#}8{#/blank#} (attract) spots around the world because of its wonderful buildings and historical{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(important). Many of the tourists have come to know the famous Chinese saying— "He who does not reach the Great Wall {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (be) not a true man.”
