This is a   1 of my family.  2   Frank, I am twelve. I study(学习) in No.2 Middle School. This is my father.  3  name is Dale Brown. He is a teacher in my school. He teaches English. And this is my mother. Her name is  4  . She is a  5 , too. Who's that woman  6my father? Oh, she is my aunt. She is a nurse. My grandparents aren't in the photo.   7 are in the USA.     Once there was a lovely vegetable field with a very big tree in it. Both of the vegetables and the tree made the garden look wonderful.

    One day, the vegetables and the tree couldn't get on well with 1. The vegetables disliked the tree because they thought the tree didn't leave them enough 2 by covering them with its thick leaves while the tree thought that the vegetables drank nearly all the water before it could reach him.

    The situation became worse and worse. One day the vegetables decided to 3 all the water in the ground so that the tree would dry up. The tree fought back by refusing to offer the vegetables shade(树荫). Soon they both began to dry up under the hot sun.

    Neither of them expected that the gardener would stop 4 his vegetable field because he thought it was 5 to save the vegetables. When the gardener did that, the tree and the vegetables really felt how 6 they were. There seemed to be no way to solve the problem. Then a small pumpkin decided to do something to change the situation. The small pumpkin did all he could to grow 7 there was little water and it was too hot.

    Finally, the gardener 8 the growing pumpkin among the dying vegetables. 9, he started to water the field again because he still wanted to make a(n) 10 to win the beautiful pumpkin. At the same time, the tree and the vegetables were saved. Since then, they realized that it was better to help each other than to fight, and they lived in harmony with other plants.

    When I was five, I had cancer ( 癌 症). My family learned about an organization that provided photography (摄影) classes to kids 1   cancer. I took the classes and learned how to 2a camera and how to take photos in different lighting situations. Taking photos made me 3about being sick for a while.

    At first, most of my photos were of4little dog, Charlie. I took pictures of him sleeping or playing. I also took pictures of 5 like flowers, trees and rivers. I 6 took photos of a little mouse once.

    Last year, I got invited to be a photographer on the red carpet (地毯) of  a big show in Los Angeles. I was so excited 7I could take photos of famous people. It was my first time to get close to them! It felt 8.

    Being a photographer and taking photos makes me feel happy. Now I want to 9what I have learned with other kids. I can't wait to pass on everything I've learned about photography and make other 10feel great, too.

We have a colorful life at school. There are different {#blank#}1{#/blank#}of activities, such as football, baseball, swimming and cycling. As for me, I like swimming best. My father is a PE teacher. When I was a child, I often {#blank#}2{#/blank#}swimming with him. We enjoyed ourselves in the swimming pool. We both thought it was fun. Dad taught me {#blank#}3{#/blank#}to swim. I kept practicing swimming every day and I learned a lot from {#blank#}4{#/blank#}. 

I think doing sports is good {#blank#}5{#/blank#}me. I joined the school swimming club. {#blank#}6{#/blank#}I finish my homework, I often go swimming with my friends, and it helps me {#blank#}7{#/blank#}many new friends. The feeling is so great, and it makes me much {#blank#}8{#/blank#}than before. I can {#blank#}9{#/blank#}do well in my study now, and my teacher says I am a good student. 

I want to be a famous swimmer when I grow up, and I hope I can have a {#blank#}10{#/blank#}to take part in the Olympics. I will try my best to make my dream come true.

 Many years ago, two friends, Mike and Jim, were walking through the desert. Somehow they began to quarrel(争吵) about small matters. Suddenly, Mike hit Jim in the face. Jim was hurt, but he said nothing. He just wrote in the sand: Today my best friend hit me in the face. 

 They kept on walking, and at last, they found a river. So they decided to take a bath. Suddenly, Jim got stuck in the mire(陷在泥里). At that moment, Mike saved him. After Jim felt better, he wrote on a stone: Today my best friend saved my life. 

 Mike saw this and asked, "After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand. After I saved you, you wrote on a stone. Why?" Jim answered, "When someone hurts us, we should write it down in the sand. Thus winds of forgiveness(宽恕) can blow it away. But when someone does something good for us, we must engrave(铭刻) it in a stone. Then no wind can ever blow it away. "
