BEIJING—World－renowned Oxford and Cambridge have come to China to attract top－rank postgraduate students in cooperation with the China Scholarship Council.

    Oxford made its first {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (appear) at the China Scholarship Council's annual International Graduate Scholarship Fair,{#blank#}2{#/blank#} opened on Saturday in Beijing. The school wants to encourage excellent Chinese students to consider {#blank#}3{#/blank#} Oxford can offer for their academic and professional careers.

    “The students{#blank#}4{#/blank#} (come) well－prepared with specific questions and were serious about the chance,”said Sherwood,director of graduate admissions and funding at Oxford,who will make {#blank#}5{#/blank#} two stops for the fair in Wuhan and Shanghai.

    The University of Cambridge has attended the fair since{#blank#}6{#/blank#} first session in 2009,and stresses that it would continue to invest to train students to be problem solvers.

    Laura and Susie were born on the same day in the same hospital and at the same time. They{#blank#}1{#/blank#} (be) very close friends since they were very little.     Susie's mother and I had another talk with the girls about not wandering off without an adult then. Both of them learnt a {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(value) lesson.

    I wanted to do something special for my 15－year－old son, who has always been a perfect boy. He worked all summer to earn enough money to buy {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (he) a new racing －bicycle instead of asking for money from me. Then he spent hours and hours on it. I loved my son so much {#blank#}2{#/blank#} I bought him a pair of sunglasses and gloves. When my son rode the racing-bicycle with them, he looked very cool. I remembered once I {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(joke) to my family that I wanted to learn playing the guitar to make my life colorful. I had {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (forget) it, but my son remembered. He took it {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (serious), and bought me one as a birthday gift. When I wondered {#blank#}9{#/blank#}my son could buy this expensive gift, soon I realized that my son had sold his racing-bicycle{#blank#}10{#/blank#} (get) me the guitar.

    China's industrial output is expected to rise by around 6.5 percent this year, marking the best {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (perform) since 2010, {#blank#}2{#/blank#} the Made in China 2025 strategy (策略) helps to raise productivity and revenue (税收).

    The increase is 0.5 percentage points {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (high) than the targeted growth, partly {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (drive) by strong efforts to increase the use of new technology at traditional enterprises (企业), Miao Wei said on Monday.

    The ministry also predicted that the country's industrial output would be likely {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (grow) by around 6 percent next year, with revenue from the telecommunications, Internet, and software and information technology service {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (increase) by 50 percent, 30 percent and 13 percent, respectively.

    According to Miao, the country will also publish policies {#blank#}9{#/blank#} promoting the development of digital economy. The data show that the country's digital economy added up to 22.58 trillion yuan last year, ranking second {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (global) and accounting for around 30 percent of national GDP.
