“I'm really thankful to our government, for it provides us with such a good training program. The training greatly helps us live well. I will certainly study  1and learn the skills. Then I can help with my family difficulties and do good to other people,” a learner on the job training program said, feeling 2.

    There was once a young mouse that lived in a hole. One day, the young mouse looked out of the hole, a nice smell came to his1. “Cheese!” the mouse said happily to2. “I'll have it for breakfast.” But he remember his 3words,“Always wait before you go for a piece of cheese.” So the young mouse waited4. Then he heard a quiet “meow” and he knew the cat was there. “I'm glad that I listen to my parents and learned to5. ” he said.

    The next morning, the nice smell came to his nose again. This time he did not hear any cat's noises,6very quiet “woof, woof”.“It's a dog!” he thought. “If the dog is there, the cat won't be there. So I'm7.” Then the mouse ran out of the hole and started8the cheese. He didn't see the cat9the cat caught him. When the cat finished her10, he said to himself, “I'm glad that I listened to my parents and learned a second language.”

    I remember sitting in an airport one day, waiting for my flight. I was1because I had a first-class(头等的) ticket. And in first class, the seats are2, and the food is more delicious, Actually, I had the best seat on the whole plane! Seat 1A. Before boarding, I3a young lady who had a big suitcase(手提箱) and several carry-on bags holding a crying baby. 4, the handle(把手) of her suitcase broke and the suitcase fell to the floor. She tried 5the case and her bags landed on the floor, too.

    "Let me help." I said to her.

    I 6 her suitcase over my left shoulder, put her bags on my right and asked, "Where to?"

    "Gate 20," she said, and showed me her ticket. Seat 24B

    "Oh, we are on the same flight."

    Boarding started, and I7that she needed the first class ticket. "It looks like you could use the first-class ticket more than me. I know how   8it can be flying with a kid. Why don't we trade tickets?"

    "Are you sure?" she asked.

    "Yes, just take my ticket and give me yours. I really don't9. I'm just going to be working the whole time, anyway."

    "That's very kind of you." she said, and expressed her10as we traded our tickets.

    Then we boarded the plane. I was surprised at the good 11it give me while watching her sit down in seat 1A. In fact, seat 24 B or12I was sitting didn't seem that bad at all. At one point during the flight I wanted to see how she was doing. So I13, walked to the first-class section, and had a look. There she was with her baby,14asleep. Seeing they were sleeping in big and 15seat 1A. I felt like a million bucks. I've got to keep doing this kind of thing.

    Jack is 10 years old, and I am his pencil. I'm Jack's helper（助手）.

    Jack's pencil box is my home. I have some friends here. They are seven crayons, a ruler, a pencil sharpener and an eraser. Because Jack loves me, I'm the king（国王）in the pencil box. My friends and I are happy every day.

    Today, I am not happy because a pen comes in. It's new and beautiful. It's a music pen. It can not only write（写） but also sing（唱歌）. But I'm old and I can only help Jack to write. Jack likes it so much! The new pen is his helper now. It's the new king. What can I do now? Shall I go to a new home?

Once upon a time, there lived a farmer called Larry in a small village. He had an old apple tree and some little animals lived in it. When he was young, he spent most of his time {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(play) around it. And it brought him fresh apples as well as much pleasure (快乐).

However, as time passed, the apple tree became old and bore no fruit. Larry thought that the tree {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(be) useless. He decided to cut it down. He forgot {#blank#}3{#/blank#}he had climbed the tree and eaten its apples before.

When Larry took his ax(斧头){#blank#}4{#/blank#}began cutting it down, the little animals living in it came. They asked him whether(是否) he had forgotten the apple tree {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(be) his good friend. He thought for a while and said "No".

Then he noticed something shiny. He realised {#blank#}6{#/blank#}it was a beehive(蜂窝),full of honey. He took a little and put it in his mouth. He said to {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (he), "What sweet honey it is!"The taste of the honey made him think of his happy childhood.

Finally, Larry understood that the apple tree had provided him with so many things and {#blank#}8{#/blank#}it was home to many lovely animals. He threw away the ax and said to the animals,"I promise {#blank#}9{#/blank#}I will never cut down this tree. You all can live here happily."

He is always in my heart. I couldn't believe I lost him. As I think of my father, tears fill my eyes and stream down my face. 

My dad always wanted to go to Canada, so he wrote a letter to one of my uncles in Canada for help. My uncle successfully got a visit visa(签证)for my dad. So he flew to Canada, looking for a better life for his kids. That year, I was six. 

After a few months, dad wrote us a letter saying he was fine and happy. That letter, and its many fellows(伙伴)down the years, all with the same words, kept coming to our doors for 11 years. Yet, even as he lived here in Canada, his health was failing him―but fearing we would worry he never let on about his ill health. He spent these years in Canada working hard; finally after 11 years when he got his landed immigrant(永久居民)paper, he wrote us saying all of us could move to Canada. 

We were all happy that we would finally be together. It was to be a huge family reunion(重聚). Sadly my father did not live to see his family reunion as he suffered a serious heart attack. 

Yes, Canada is a wonderful country. So many times I can't help thinking it was here that my dad was taken away from us. When I miss him, I want someone to hold me and give me a hug. And when I see how everyone gives his father gifts on Father's Day, wishing them a long, happy life, I want to do the same. But to whom can I give my Father's Day gift and card? Where can I get the same warm loving hug again?
