Switzerland (瑞士) is one of the most developed countries in Europe. It is famous as one of the cleanest countries in the world.

The Swiss (瑞士人) think that recycling is important. The government has made laws which require everyone to recycle. In 1998, the Swiss government passed a law which says that people cannot throw away any electronic machines. Instead, people are told to bring old ones, such as televisions, computers and fridges, to special centers when they don't need them. Many parts of the old machines are reused, and only the parts that can't be used are thrown away.

The government also charges (收费) a rubbish bag tax (税). If people want their rubbish to be collected, they must buy yellow stickers and put them on their rubbish bags. In 2003, 47G of all rubbish in the cities was recycled. This included 70% of paper, 95% of glass, 71% of plastic bottles and 85--90% of cans. Until recently, people can get a small amount of money when they recycle their bottles. Recycling has become a daily habit for the Swiss.

     Everyone should learn from the Swiss, and our country will be clean like Switzerland.

It's not enough for students to learn only at school. So every year many young people from different countries spend their summer vacations {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(改进;改善) themselves.

 In Thailand, elephants are in great {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(危险) now. People cut down many trees so the elephants are losing their homes. What's {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(更糟的), some people kill them for their ivory(象牙). To save elephants, one centre in Thailand {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(提供) food and shelters(庇护处) for the animals. And many students from all over the world would like to help in the centre.{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(在……期间) the two months, they not only help elephants but also learn a lot.

In Ghana, some young people {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(更喜爱;钟爱) to help work in a hospital for two weeks. They may see how foreign doctors work in the hospital in their country. At the {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(相同的) time, they'll learn English and help look after patients.

In Australia, some young people are interested in Chinese {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(文化) and they can speak Chinese well. So they'd like to help teach Chinese in a programme. It usually {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(持续;延续) for six weeks. The young people try to make more people love Chinese. And it's {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(确定的;无疑的)that they are all our Chinese friends.

Beijing Opera is one of the Chinese traditional drama art forms and the largest Chinese opera form. Having a history of about 200 years, it is developed from many other drama forms, mostly from the local drama" Huiban". It was especially popular in south China during the 18th century.

Theatrical(戏剧的) art forms in many other countries do not have singing, dancing and spoken parts together in one single drama. An opera singer, for example, neither dances nor speaks on stage; there are no singing or dancing parts in a modern play; in a dance drama, the dancer doesn't speak or sing. Traditional Chinese drama, including Beijing Opera, is a kind of entertainment(娱乐). It includes spoken parts, singing and dancing.

Beijing Opera has spread to many other places. Mei Lanfang, one of the most famous performers of all, was the first to introduce Beijing Opera to foreigners and made highly successful tours to foreign countries." You will doubt and sometimes be a little bored, but you will be interested gradually. You will be strongly attracted to Beijing Opera, even if you know nothing about the drama background." This is how one traveler described his first experience in watching Beijing Opera.
