What do you usually do on Saturday? I usually go to Michael's Farm (农场) to see my grandfather and my cousins on Saturday. Michael is just my grandfather's name. 

It's far from my home to Michael's Farm. This Saturday, my friends Eric and Jim go there with me. At 10: 00 am, we start off by bike. We take a lot of food and drinks with us because we want to have lunch on our way to the farm. First, we ride on Blue Road for one and a half hours. Next, we have lunch under a tree near a crossing. After lunch, we turn left at the crossing and ride on Sky Road for another (再一的) hour to get to my grandfather's farm. Along the way, we are tired (疲劳的) but happy. 

My grandfather lives in a big farmhouse. He is very happy to see us. We help him water vegetables, feed (喂) animals and do some cleaning. We play games with my cousins. My grandfather cooks lots of food for us. 

We have a good time with my grandfather and my cousins on Michael's Farm. The next morning, we ride back home.

One day, a boy finds a penguin at his door. The boy doesn't know where it comes from, but it begins to follow him everywhere. The penguin looks sad, and the boy thinks it must be lost. So the boy wants to help the penguin find its way home.

Later, he hears that penguins come from the South Pole*. So together, they carry everything they need during the journey to the South Pole. And the boy takes his rowboat to the sea. They row* south for many days and nights. To help pass the time, the boy keeps telling stories all the way. The penguin listens to everything that the boy says! Sometimes when they getbored, they do exercise together.

They float* through good and bad weather on the sea. Finally, they come to the South Pole. The boy is delighted, but the penguin says nothing. And it looks sad again as the boy helps it out of the boat. Then the boy says good—bye and floats away. When he looks back, the penguin is still there. But it looks sadder than ever.

After a while, he suddenly realises* the pengui n isn't lost. It is just lonely. Quickly he turns the boat around and rows back to the South Pole as fast as he can. He tries to find the penguin, but he can't . Sadly, the boy leaves for home. But then the boy sees something in the water ahead of him. It's the penguin! It is waiting for the boy.

At last, the boy and his friend go home together, talking of wonderful things all the way. The penguin is happy to enjoy those interesting stories again.

①When it comes to Chinese students considering studying in foreign countries, many of them usually believe that life will be easy and enjoyable. Unluckily, it's possible that students with those thoughts will be disappointed very soon after landing at the airport.

②So, what are the problems you may have, and how can you deal with them?

③Teaching and learning styles in America are very different from those in China, requiring more critical thinking (批判性思维) and teamwork. In a normal American classroom, one project might be done by a study group in which every person has their own responsibility.

④So don't worry about your language or any grammar mistakes. Just watch what other students do, and don't be afraid of asking any questions. The discussions, or sometimes even arguments, that your group members and you hold are possible to be the beginning of a friendship.

⑤Besides schoolwork, another important thing faced by overseas students is homesickness or loneliness. You may miss your parents' cooking, your pets, or even your old bed. Being away from home can create bitter feelings, especially when faced with the challenges of getting used to a new environment.

⑥What I strongly suggest is to try hard to deal with these feelings. Be open to new friendships. Sign up for school activities, and give yourself permission to enjoy life at school, even if you miss home a lot. Be organized and keep a diary to check your progress. Write down three new things that you're grateful for every evening, as well as three things you're looking forward to every morning.

⑦Studying abroad is never simple. In fact, there will be many difficulties every day. But I'm sure you will overcome your difficulties and make your time overseas a success.

Recently, a video of a young girl performing the Pangu Dance has caught tons of attention of {#blank#}1{#/blank#} large number of people on the Internet. 

The Pangu dance dates back to the Han Dynasty and is an unusual part of Han culture. During the dance, dancers who are dressed in {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (tradition) costumes use drums as props (道具). {#blank#}3{#/blank#} the surface of the drums, they jump and dance creating rhythmic beats(有节奏的) with {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (they) footwork while waving long sleeves (袖子). 

According to the girl's mother, her daughter Tongtong is now 10 years old. At the age of three and a half, she {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(teach) Chinese dance because of her love for dancing. 

Tongtong has developed friendships with many other young {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(pal). They enjoy learning and sharing short dance videos on Douying to document their growth. Inspired by this, Tongtong has learned to upload dance videos on Douying since last November. 

Ms. Wang said that her daughter {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(spend) about half an hour each day learning dance on Douying after completing her homework. Additionally, Tongtong took up dance classes twice a week. She makes good use of her time in order {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(improve) her performance. 

Tongtong is glad that her dance is loved by so many people online. {#blank#}9{#/blank#} she feels tired sometimes, she wants to make more people know about the Pangu Dance. More {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (important), Tongtong would like to further preserve (保护) the ancient dance traditions of the Han and Tang Dynasties. 

I like English and I'm good at English. Especially, I'm good at {#blank#}1{#/blank#}. Do you know how I can make it? I do it by keeping a {#blank#}2{#/blank#} in English. Everyday, after {#blank#}3{#/blank#} homework and before going to bed, I think about what I mainly do {#blank#}4{#/blank#} the day at school. And I also think about what I learnt at school. Then I choose something most {#blank#}5{#/blank#} to write down. Day by day, my English is getting better and better.
