Mickey Mouse and his good friends Donald Duck and Goofy are big fans of kung fu. They come to the Shaolin Temple in China to learn kung fu.

    Bat King is a bad guy. He has super kung fu skills. But he always makes trouble for Shaolin Temple. In Shaolin Temple, the master (师父) is very strict. The training is very hard. Donald can't put up with (忍受) it. He leaves the temple secretly. Goofy always does things in the wrong way.

    At the same time, Bat King has a plan. He wants to beat the people of Shaolin Temple. Mickey and his friends decide to save the temple. They study kung fu hard. They also have lots of adventures. In these adventures, they make much progress in kung fu.

I never knew that one little"I'm sorry"could mean so much. I never thought that one moment in time could 1 the rest of my life.

I was sitting in class one day when a short and 2 kidnamed Victor came in. He sat down next to me, looked at meand looked away. When our eyes met, I 3  talked to him, but he just smiled at me. So I didn't think 4  was the person that I'd like to become friends with.

One day I joined the unkind kids in 5  him, although I knew it was wrong."Do you have any friends?"a kid asked Victor, who 6  past us alone, keeping his head down.

 "No, he hasn't got any 7  . He's too foolish,"I said. Victor looked at me with sad eyes. That night, I couldn't sleep 8  I couldn't get Victor's face out of my mind. In the next week, he never 9  my eyes in class or smiled at me.

It was really hard for me to ask him to forgive me. I couldn't forget his sad 10  every time I saw him. The next day in class, I wrote him a note telling him how 11  I felt. About five minutes later, I turned and saw tears12 his eyes. Later he told me that I would never realise how much my apology(道歉) had meant to him. He said he hoped that we 13  become friends.

We had a very pleasant talk over lunch that noon. And then, we became close friends. When I think back, I realise that my apology made it possible for me to 14  good friends with Victor, a lonely person.

So never 15  a chance to tell somebody you are sorry. Apologies can really change your life.

Christie lives far from her high school. She travels 50 minutes on the train to get there from her house. Christie has many ways to pass the time when she is on the train to and from her school. She can do one of the following:

◆Read 25 pages in a novel.   ◆Do 2m ath exercises.

◆Write a letter to a friend. ◆Sleep for 50 minutes.

Christie never sleeps on the train on Friday mornings, because she has tests that day, and she likes to study on the train. She often writes to three different friends. She sends them each letters about twice a month. If Christie reads a novel on the way to school, she won't read it on the way home.

I am sitting in an empty football field after my last high school football game finished a few hours ago. I'm the midfield player(中场球员) in my team. But in fact that's not 1 now. I was the midfield player because, as I said, this was my 2 game. That's a good way to end a high school football career(生涯), especially if you win, but even though you don't , it's good to3 at a high point. 

I was eight when I first started playing football. My dad 4 football, and he used to practice with me at home — passing, catching, running. We used to 5 almost every evening until it got too dark. He tried to teach me 6 he knew about the game. " Just remember: Don't ever 7 . "" Stay in the game. Don't lose your concentration(专注). "" Go out there and give 110 percent every time. " Well, that was a long time ago, but I still hear his words 8 in my ears.

It's all over now, and it's really getting cold here. It's starting to snow. The sun's almost gone, and I 15 see the goal. Now it's dark and I'm sitting here all alone. Well, I guess it's time to say good- bye and move on. 

Once, there were two hard- working children, Che Yin and Sun Kang. They love reading, but their families were poor and couldn't buy lamp oil(灯油) for the children to study at night. How did they get over the difficulty? Here are their stories.

 Che Yin's story began on a hot summer night. He saw fireflies (萤火虫) flying and an idea came into his mind. He caught some fireflies in a cloth bag and hung it up (悬挂) as a light. He spent all of his summer nights reading like this.

 The other story happened in winter. Sun Kang woke up on a cold night. He saw the moon shine so brightly on the snow and it made the night brighter."I can read with the light!" he thought . So he took his books outside and read, even though it was very cold.

 Later, Che Yin and Sun Kang became successful. Their stories were turned into the Chinese words nangying yingxue. Difficulties can't stop young minds from learning. If there is a will, there is always light on the road to knowledge.

I'm Leo. There is a great artist in my family. She is Lisa. Lisa is only 6, she is cute and she likes drawing a lot. Here are her drawings.

There is an animal in the first drawing. It has two big eyes, a big mouth and two small ears. It has long arms and long legs. It is black and white. There are some apples in its hands. It looks very happy. Lisa says it is a panda.

There is an animal in the last drawing, too. Its head is an apple. Its hair is black. It has a long mouth, and it is a banana. Its two legs are carrots. What is it? Lisa says it is a horse, but it doesn't look like a horse at all.
