Do you like to celebrate the New Year? Yes, we do. In different countries, people celebrate the New Year in different ways.

Chinese New Year is called 1 . We usually eat dumplings in North China, wear new clothes, give children lucky money, hang spring couplets(对联) on 2 and so on.

In Spain, on New Year's Eve, they eat twelve 3 when the clock strikes twelve. People believe twelve grapes can bring good luck for the next twelve months. The faster you eat, the happier you will be. 

In Italy, there is one special custom. They break old glasses, old bowls, and old 4 . It represents that they are getting rid of(摆脱) bad things.

In Brazil, people in the countryside give New Year's wishes in a unique way. They pull each other's 5 on New Year's Day. The harder one's ear is pulled, the more blessings the person will have.

No matter how and where we spend the New Year, we all want to send the same wish, "Happy New Year!"

These years, more and more spaceships have been sent into space and there are many great

taikonauts in China now. But what's the life in space like? Let's learn something about their

lives in space.

Do taikonauts cat pizza in space? No. All the food in space has no water. They add water

to the food before they eat it. And they use straws (吸管)to eat. Because the food on the

spoons will fly away!

Sleeping in space is very different. Taikonauts sleep in the air. This sounds amazing! The

space station travels around the Earth every 90 minutes. So the taikonauts see the sunrise(日出)

16 times in 24 hours.

There is very little water in space. Taikonauts use most of their water for food and drink. They

eat special candies to clean their teeth. They clean their faces and bodies with wet towels (毛巾).
