Since 2008, the program called "First Class Begins" has been put on the TV screen. The year 2023 was no exception(例外). This 1 theme was "Building a Strong Country with Me". The program was shown to viewers of all ages 2 the evening of September 1st as usual. 

Guests from all walks of life, such as "Baiyi Medal" receivers, astronauts, scientists, model workers 3 to the show. They shared lessons with students across the country. For example, The Shenzhou-16 astronauts 4 were still working in the Tiangong space station, sent a special gift to students. 5 was made up of these three words "upward-mobility(上进心)", "curiosity(好奇心)", and "original aspiration(初心)", "I 6 a real astronaut, looking at the beautiful earth from our Chinese space station."said one of the astronauts, Zhu Yangzhu."Never give up, and our efforts will be paid off." 

 7 program also stressed the importance of developing a strong character. It told students that the 8 their characters are, the closer they are to success. Through 9 forms, the program aimed to improve young people's self-confidence as Chinese. It encouraged the young 10 widely, practice hard and take active part in the new journey of making our country a powerful nation. The future is bright, and we should be ready to take on the challenges ahead. 

"Robots, drones(无人机) and AI will do around 90% of the housework by 2040, " scientists from King's College said. 

Mischa Dohler and Dr. Ian Pearson wrote a report to predict what homes will look like in 20 years. In it, they said that housework like washing the clothes and doing the dishes would be much easier because of technology progress(进步). If technology kept making progress, they expected that people would spend less than two hours a day in doing housework. 

But most British people still don't believe their predictions. Just 2/5 of the people think that house robots will become a reality(现实) by 2040. 

We have a lot of trouble in our life, but we have to face them. When you are feeling {#blank#}1{#/blank#}（happy）or forgetting how great you are, there are six ways to make you {#blank#}2{#/blank#} （feel）good about yourself.

Stay {#blank#}10{#/blank#} your family. We all have our family time. Talk with your mom and dad or maybe even your cousin. 

In our school, all students have their favourite subjects. But students in different grades like different subjects. 

In Grade Seven, students' favourite subject is always Chinese, because it's their mother tongue and it's easy for them. And most of them don't like English. They think English is very difficult, because it's different from Chinese. And they like PE and music, too. Students at this age like playing sports. They can play soccer, basketball in PE classes. Why is music welcome? Most of them think music is relaxing. 

In Grade Eight, some students like maths very much. But they aren't very good at maths, because maths in Grade Eight is a little difficult. They need to do exercises for a long time. Students in Grade Eight also like science and geography. They can learn a lot from science. And they also say they seem (似乎) to go around China in geography classes. 

In Grade Nine, English is some students' favourite subject. It's useful. Students often talk with friends in English after school. They even watch English programs on TV to learn more. 

Drinking a cup of milk tea with friends? That's "city". Visiting the Great Wall of China? Very "city". Riding a bike down Shanghai's Anfu Road? Quite "city".

If you don't get it, let me explain it to you. The popularity of "City bu city?" has risen on the Internet these days. You can use it to describe whether someone, or something is urban (都市的) and modern or not.

"City bu city?" was first used by American blogger Paul Mike Ashton. He has lived in Shanghai with his sister for years. His name on the Internet is "Bao Bao Xiong". He likes sharing travel experiences in China on Douyin and Xiaohongshu. Ashton became popular after he shared a video of him asking his sister "City bu city?" on the Great Wall.

The word "city" itself has now taken on a new meaning as an adjective (形容词). Ashton himself says that it describes something that happens in the city, but it can also be "something that gives you a great love for life".

In recent years, a large number of foreign tourists like Ashton have been sharing their experiences of visiting China online. Topics about travelling in China are becoming more and more popular. Now people around the world can learn more about different places of modern China and Chinese way of life. And all of these are shown in a more emotional (感性的), friendly and natural way.

Good study habits(习惯) are important for all students. When you have good study habits, you'll learn faster.

 Do you usually study in the living room? This is not a good place for study because it is usually too noisy. You need to study in a quiet place, such as your bedroom. A quiet place will help you learn better.

Before you begin to study, do not forget to clean your desk. It helps you study well, too. Light is also important. You'll feel tired easily if there is not enough light.

 Of all the good study habits you can develop (养成), asking questions is the key. Just ask. No one knows everything, but we can always learn from each other by asking questions.

 One easy but important habit is to tell yourself what you're studying for. Put your target(目标) on the wall next to your bed or desk. That means you'll see and think about it every day.

 When do you work best? Are you an early bird, a night owl (猫头鹰), or something in between? Find your most productive work time, and then plan to study at that time.
