Good Moments of Your Life
Bruce Kelly, a reporter interviewed some people and asked, "What are some of the good moments of your life?" Here are some of the answers.
"I always failed my English exams. But thanks to my teacher, Ms. Green, she helped me find the learning methods. I was taught to review what I learned every day. I was asked to finish grammar exercises as many as possible. Now I can always get high scores in English tests."
-Jack,12 years old, from No.2 Middle School
"My parents always helped me decide everything. For example, they asked me to focus on my study instead of practicing my hobby - - - running. But I'm 14 years old! I should be allowed to make my OWN decisions! So last Friday I had a long talk with them. In the end,I won! Now I'm allowed to run and remain in the school team."
-Liu Yu, from Shandon
"I have lots of great moments. For one thing,I' ve traveled a lot. I lived in Italy a few years ago. Then after Italy,I went to America and worked with a team of volunteers. We were rebuilding homes after a major earthquake for two months. It was hard work but so worth doing. Life has been interesting so far."
-Alice,35,a high school teacher

*Young People Share Their Ideas on School Bullying(霸凌)* | |
Yin Peixin, 13, Mexico | In my school, teachers try to stop bullying. We often talk about why bullying is bad. But bullying still happens(发生). Bullies(霸凌者) may meet with parents, be suspended(停学), or leave school. We should try to stop it. |
Zhu Yuhan, 17, US | In some schools, teachers don't take bullying seriously. They think kids are just"playing", Luckily, at my school, bullying is not a problem. Teachers will watch the alone and quiet students. The school uses websites like Safe2Say to report(报道)bullying. |
Yuan Ningfei, 17, UK | In the UK, bullying is still a concern(担忧). In 2023, one in four students said they were bullied. Most schools have plans to stop it. At my school, some teachers look after and help victims(受害者). Some schools will hold an Anti-Bullying Week to help students know about bullying. |
Lee Chulkyu, 16, South Korea | In South Korea, school bullying is not as common(常见)as on TV, but it is a big problem. Bullies might not get into university because of what they did. To stop bullying, we can follow Confucius'(孔子)advice:"Treat others as you want to be treated(己所不欲,勿施于人). " This means everyone should try to make sure all students feel safe at school. |
