Should We Help Strangers?

Recently our class had a discussion about {#blank#}1{#/blank#} we should help strangers or not. Different students have different {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (idea).

Some think {#blank#}3{#/blank#}we should try to help strangers. Helping others is a virtue (美德), and helping others is helping {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (we). We may come across some trouble and need others' help some day. If everyone isn't willing to help us just {#blank#}5{#/blank#}we are strangers to them, it's hard to imagine {#blank#}6{#/blank#} our world will be like.

However, some worry {#blank#}7{#/blank#} helping others can sometimes bring us trouble. Sometimes we are just misunderstood and even have to pay the cost of kindness.

In my opinion, we should try our best {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (help) others when they are in need of help, but we should also avoid {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (get) into trouble. If everyone tries a little kindness, our world{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(be) full of love.

It's very important for us to learn about protecting environment around us.Here is a 4 R rule for us：

Recycle.Bottles，waste paper，glasses，plastic and so on can easily be recycled.By doing so，we can save lots of time and money.For example，coke cans are sent to a factory，where they are smashed flat（压平） and melted（融化） and the melted things are made for new coke cans.

Reduce.Millions of trees are being cut down to make paper.If everyone uses a little paper carelessly（草率地） and throw it out，soon we would not have any trees left.We should use both sides of paper.Reduce boxes and cups which can be used only once.Other things are also being wasted，and people don't know what to do with the waste in big cities.So it is necessary for us to reduce the waste.

Reuse.We should always think of reusing the usable（可用的） things before throwing them out.Give our clothes we do not use or the ones which are too small to the poor.With the family，we may pass on such clothes to younger brothers or sisters.

Repair.If one of the legs of our table is broken，we can repair it instead of throwing it away.If we want to change for better ones，it is better for us to sell the old things or give them to other people who can use them after doing some repairing.

The more we do，the better environment will be.

When my father was getting ready for work, our house was ruled by knocks and words. He used to come downstairs to breakfast. The morning paper lay beside his plate. He always read the' Deaths' first; and then he knocked once on the table. One of my sisters brought hi toast, already buttered for him.1 he said nothing, but once I heard him say, "I love you very much, Edith. I would love you more if you buttered my toast on2 . "He read the paper all through breakfast. 

Two knocks on the table meant 'I am ready for my tea', If a single knock followed, that meant 'More toast, please. ' After breakfast he said, "Boots. " The paper was3 for him over the back of an armchair. Yesterday's paper was put on the chair for his feet, and his boots were brought to him, freshly cleaned. He read standing,4 putting on his boots and tying the laces. 

With one boot finished, he said, "Bus. " At that point one of the girls went outside to the garden gate and waited there. Her job was to stop the bus when it came. It came early sometimes, and it had to wait for my father. "Overcoat, hat. " One of my sisters had already brushed his overcoat. Now she held it open for him and guided his arms into it. Then she pulled his jacket down under the coat.5 girl came with his hat, nicely brushed. "Handkerchief, pipe. " They were brought and put, with his tobacco, into his pockets. He looked out of the window and said either 'Walking stick' or＇Umbrella'. It was handed to him. 

Ready now, he was still reading the paper. He did not put it down until he heard the shout "Bus coming! " Then he kissed my mother and went out. The girls breathed freely. How lucky a man is to have a wife and five daughters at home!

①What will our life be like in 50 years? Some scientists from the UK make some predictions about our life in the future. Let's have a look. 

②Self-cleaning houses.Future houses might clean themselves while you're at school or work, or when you are sleeping. You can control（控制）your houses by sending messages through mobile phones. 

③Insect(昆虫)-burgers.Insects will become our main food. They're rich in protein（蛋白质）. People can make them into burgers and some other food. People can keep more insects in their kitchens. 

④Underground skyscrapers（摩天大楼）.You could call them "earthscrapers". They're underground buildings. During an earthquake（地震）, these buildings wouldn't fall down like normal skyscrapers. 

⑤Special ways for travelling .To improve ways for traveling, people might take flying taxis and flying buses. For a long way to travel, they might take super rockets. The travel time between London and New York could be just 30 minutes by rocket.

There's a video online: a young girl, with an old man sitting on her shoulder (肩膀), is watching the national flag-raising ceremony (升国旗仪式) at Tian'anmen Square (天安门广场). The girl is ZhangBaige and the old man is her 1 Zhang Shuangqi.

One day in 1997, on his way home from work in Luoyang, Henan, 50-year-old Zhang Shuangqi 2 a baby girl on the roadside. Zhang took the girl home and raised (抚养) her as his daughter. He gave her a 3 Zhang Baige.

Zhang had no money, no family and no experience in raising a child. Raising a baby made his life 4 . The man took on different jobs at the same time to make a living.

In the poor family, Zhang Baige managed (尽力完成) to 5 . Although she did not go to college after high school, she worked hard. Now she can give her father and herself a good 6 . To spend more time with her father, who is now 75 years old, Zhang Baige decided to travel around the 7 with him. He always likes to see places away from home.

Last May, Baige and her father 8 their trip. From Henan, they traveled through Shaanxi (陕西) and Sichuan, and then to Tibet and Xinjiang. People feel touched by their story after 9 videos about their travel. And they are 10 to see that the father and the daughter are living a happy life.
