浙江省金华市浦江县黄宅镇初级中学2024-2025学年九年级上学期第三次月考英语试卷
Hi, Oliver,
How are you? I'm writing to share some good learning habits with you.
Study the same knowledge in many places.
You may have a regular place to study - - - a quiet room or a corner of the school library. But scientists say it helps you remember if you study the same thing in two different places. See if you remember what you have learned better than you read the same thing twice in the classroom.
Don't just learn one skills at a time.
Have you ever seen players training? They usually do speed and skill training together. Our brain works like that too. For example, if you are studying English, you may want to study vocabulary, grammar and reading all at the same time.
Space out your studying.
Most of you may have the experience of studying for a long time the night before a test. That may get you a good grade in an exam. Scientists have found that spacing out is your ability to remember things. You can study for an hour tonight, an hour on the weekend, another hour a week from. now. Then you won't need to stay up all night for a test.
Hope you can develop good learning habits.
Helen.
A Here is some advice from experts. B. You can read Chinese textbooks in the classroom or in the school garden. C. And you will remember the things forever. D. But you will soon forget the things you have learned. E. It is better to learn different skills than just one at a time. |
Please share one more good learning habit.
Question: I want to speak English well. What can I do? | |
Students | Opinions |
Susan | If you want to speak English well, I think you should read English books and listen to English radio. You shouldn't think in your language. You must think in English and speak what you think, and then you will be successful. |
William | I think the most useful way is watching English films. But you know this all depends on yourself. If you work hard, you can find that speaking English is quite a funny thing. Keep moving! Nothing is impossible! |
Ravi Chandra | Don't be afraid and then you will become a good speaker. Speak whatever you want in English in front of a mirror. Try this for just 30 days and then see the results. I hope you will practice this. |
Helen Gao | If you can study carefully for a long time, you will see the results. You should have a right way and speak English bravely. I believe you will smile in the end. |
"The only constant(不变)in life is change," Heraclitus said in about 500 B.C. That could be more true today.{#blank#}1{#/blank#} Technology is out of date almost by the time you buy it. We get plenty of information every day. Francis Bacon said, "Knowledge is power." In fact, there is more information in a newspaper than he would have experienced in his whole life.
Why are we afraid of change? {#blank#}2{#/blank#} After all, who knows what new dangers might appear? However, change is also the only way of development. Nobody can stop it in life. Luckily, our brains become stronger when meeting the unknown. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} To be more imaginative and creative, you should look for and find environments you have no experience with.
{#blank#}4{#/blank#} For example, try a new restaurant, or go to a play or a concert you normally wouldn't attend. Small changes can help you gradually get used to uncertainty(不确定). So when bigger things happen, you'll be more fully prepared for them.
People who fear change often stick to a certain lifestyle. They believe they can control the future by doing so. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} If you can move from just accepting it to actively finding it out and dealing with it, you will be successful.
A. People are thirsty for knowledge. B. That's because our brains want to protect us. C. But change comes whether you ask for it or not. D. We live in a world that is changing every minute. E. You can learn how to face the changes in daily life. F. Dealing with the unexpected needs imagination and creativity. |
